I have a clue because the media reports what they see and the coaches have press conferences.

A second year player literally won the Heisman last year. You’re dumb

Well.. if he’s the best QB, that would be why.

a world of hurt if a redshirt freshman with 31.8 QB rating is your best option to win

He’s played such a small sample size that his QBR is irrelevant. Anyone with half. A brain can realize that

The only and one and only reason a red shirt freshman should start or that you should want him to start is if he's the quarterback that gives you the best chance of winning. Other than that there's absolutely no reason for him to start over better quarterbacks if there are in fact better quarterbacks on the team. I guess we'll find out pretty soon what the case might be or might not be and so on

Well if he were the best option at QB, that would be a great reason to start a redshirt Freshman.

NO

JJ was because Lee kept throwing pick-sixes, on a team that could have won 9-10 games with defense and the running game.

I don't think Nuss is the preferred starter, to be honest. I think the future is Howard, and you need a placeholder until he is ready.

I think Howard is ready in 2024, so I kinda figure the setup will be to get there. Daniels does that. Brennan doesn't get you 2023, and if it's Nuss, you're pushing Howard back another year.

Idk, if he is the best F*cking QB maybe he should. Damn. Maybe that’s why there’s a F*cking competition.

Yeah, maybe there was an injury listed as to why he came out of that game. But, that's not why JJ started the bowl, or the next season. He did that because Les pulled the plug on Lee, and decided to move on. It was clearly stated that JJ was not yet ready to play that season, and yet he still gave the team a better chance of winning, by not actively scoring for the opposition almost every game.

Re: Nuss, I think you have to decide if it's Nuss or Howard you want to see as the QB in a couple years. Sure, he might go break Burrow's records and leave as early as possible, but that isn't likely. You take him now, you're basically saying he's going to be the starter for the next 3 years. If Howard is all he's advertised to be, I don't think you do that, UNLESS you think Nuss is just as good.

Meaning, if Nuss wins, he is likely going to be exceptional.
If Brennan wins, I think it means Daniels is terrible.

If they're all serviceable and close, and Howard shows he was worth recruiting, Daniels is the choice due to his time remaining.
Same reason you don't draft a top QB if you have a stud in his early prime in the NFL; you're just wasting that spot. Guy won't play for you. You don't groom a 1st rd QB for his entire rookie contract, and you don't groom a coveted 5 star until he's a redshirt junior.
