OSU this year while going through THREE Quarterbacks.

7136 yards.

They got better as the year went on. But come on the whole of the big 10 sucks. I'm sorry, they just do.

If Les would have just ran up the score against the cupcakes last year instead of playing Jennings, the stats would be much closer.

Mett threw like one pass in the 2nd half of the uab game then made way for Jennings. We could have easily hung 80+ on them. Les chose not to.

No, it's more about the coaches that squeeze every ounce of productivity out of their team and have them playing at the highest level.

"Getting hot" sounds like it's just luck. Instead, it's more a function of a team that is thoroughly prepared (physically, emotionally, and strategically) in all three phases of the game.

Certainly you're correct that OSU won't be playing for the championship every year, but with their resources, recruiting, and coaching, they'll at least be in the mix. And that's what elite teams should strive for - not just a year where things just happen to fall into place.

Why put the tread on the tires when you aren't playing for anything. I like to think if we were in the playoff and fournette was playing well, we would continue to be him the ball. But there is no point in giving LF 30 carries/game when you are track for 7 o 8 wins.

BUT....if LF gets those 30 carries, who is to say we wouldn't have 9/10 wins?

I think Fournette Earned more carries as the season went on.

Fournette didn't get anywhere near enough carries against arkansas. Chalk that up to bad coaching. Probably dude to Fournette only practicing certain sets that we abandoned early on.

As for the bowl game, 1 he definitely tweaked an ankle, and having nothing to play for I support getting the Seniors more carries.

It took LF a few games to adjust but after that he had some big games. But by then , our fate was sealed. So run LF 30 times and maybe you beat Arky. Ok. 9 wins a slightly better bowl. Does nothing for me. Let's address our weaknesses and get after it next year.

the problem is he tweaked his ankle late in the game and either 2 or 3 drives after he just broke off a 85 yard run. He should have had some carries on the drives after his big run.

bottom line is buga should get right at around 25 carries per game. id like to see 15 to 20 in the small games and 25 to 30 in big games. He should also be used more in passing situations.

Um, prior to Mett getting hurt in the Arky game, Jennings threw three passes in 2013. WTF are you talking about?

id let him get 100 yards vs the cup cakes and the low sec teams before pulling him. i think 15 carries is reasonable work for him to be able to hit 100 yards vs bad teams.

The ranked teams i like the ability to give him the ball 25 to 30 times. I also think running him out of spread formations would help keep some of the wear off of his legs because he will be in the second and third level more often before being hit.

I have trouble believing that to be the case. If they were so worried about his touches they wouldn't want him on kick off. Also being that LF7 is a pretty fiery competitor i doubt he would demand the coaches treat him like a girl and limit his touches.

Because he has a fraction of the QB Urban develops/schemes. One-dimensional QB's constrain even the best of RB's.

that as well, players that have a goal of winning the heisman aren't the type to cry and beg to come off the field. The miles fans will never put blame on him for a possible mistake, its much better to run down a player.

Yes about right. And I think some people forget that some big backs get stronger and more productive as the game wears on. EE from OSU was in beast mode until the end of that game and seemingly got stronger as the game progressed.

You do realize LSU don't get guys like Ducre & Guice if we didn't give the ball to more than LF.

You do realize that we're a college football team competing for national championships and not an NFL D-League team, right?

Well, wait. Les Miles apparently disagrees.
