Not a chance. And the bigger question is if Miles went to any other D-1 school with decent facilities, fans, money, could he build a winner?....much less a NC contender.

Pure speculation
Give me a list of coaches who you think WOULD do as good, or better, than CUM did at those schools.

Is it really though?
Who else in the Country could trot out LF, Hilliard, Magee & Williams type backs?
Besides Bama

ridiculous how many of you guys consider yourselves fans yet continously bash the program and coach.
Dont see too many people bashing LSU, I see many bashing Miles and its well-warranted..He should feel the pressure and should be coaching for his job next year...

The list would be short: Saban, maybe Spurrier and a few others. The point was CUM wins convincingly everywhere he goes.

This is the most to the point, accurate statement I have ever seen on this board.

That's LSU
And bashing his decision making, QB recruitment, offensive strategy, etc is understood. Some take it much further.

That list may include only one name. But I'm not the one claiming that our coach is equal to Meyer.
You remarked earlier about "LSU fans that are always tearing down the program". It's a fair assessment. But in my case, it really comes down to arguing with fans that seem to overlook the issues within the program, and just shrug them off as "no biggie". If some of the other posters wouldn't try to argue indefensible positions, then I wouldn't feel the need to debate those positions constantly. You could be the biggest Les Miles fan in the world, and if you would only admit that "yeah, the 2013 team underachieved", there would be far less bickering and bashing going on around here. Instead you get a string of excuses for the back to back 3 loss seasons in 2012-13, and the 5 loss season in 2014, so the arguing continues.

Meyer left Florida because they were trying to fire him !

Spurrier ain't blowing the doors off at SC.....so BG and Utah wouldn't be any easier.
And something we actually agree on, yes, CUM is a great coach.

I'd like to know exactly how????????
99% of the criticism focuses on the 3 things you yourself mentioned.
I don't see people on here bashing him on a personal level.
Too many pumpers are way too thin-skinned.

Maybe not but he has supplanted UF in the east along with GA as the top programs.

Nor was I but there isn't this huge disparity either. But I'd be willing to bet 90% of the message boards around the country aren't comparing their coach to Urban today.
Many folks on this board come here to do one thing.....find any angle to bash our coach.
Just gets old. And I am in NO way saying Miles doesn't deserve criticism.

Simply Urban is a better coach!

All of my comments were not directed at you, just a generalization.
