Why weren't there 2 seconds added at Ole Miss?

I'm seriously confused at the different ways the replays were used in the SEC (LSU vs Ole Miss) and the Big12 (Nebraska vs Texas).
Both coaches fricked up, but nonetheless the application of review of time remaining on the clock was obviously different.

Because we ran up and spiked the ball with one second left. A play takes at least 1 second to run. They on the other hand just threw it out of bounds with 1 second left. I don't see how you could be confused about this

Exactly right. We should have had 3 seconds against Ole Miss if they would have called it like they called this one. They wanted Texas to go to the championship game though. Too much money on the line.

TT hit the ground with 3 seconds left. That's what I'm talking about.

I didn't think this was reviewable after the Ole Miss game, due to the fact that the clock only stops when the ref signals to stop it. If it is when it hits the ground or in our case, when the player hits the ground, we definitely got screwed!

Texas uses up all the time on the clock and (gets lucky), they knew what they were doing, Les uses up all the time on the clock and he is an idiot.....The only idiot I know is Paul Finebaum........

This is probably true, but I certainly didn't see any refs stopping the clock with 1 second in the Texas game, thus I'm a little confused as to the two different applications of the rule.

An incomplete pass stops the clock the second it hits the ground. The clock doesn't stop the second a player is down for a first down.

Have they ever reviewed when exactly a guy was down and also adjusted the clock in the same process?

That's why you go bezerk so they will do something about it. Mack Brown was out on the field insisting there should be 1 second added to the clock. They reviwed it, and added it.

Wrong. The answer is every play in college football is supposed to be reveiwed, including all clock mangagement. LSU was not awarded the extra second or two they deserved for the same reason Patrick Peterson's interception did not count at 'Bama. Total incompetance by the SEC officials on the field and in the replay booth. The only reason their was not a huge outcry about not adding time at Ole Mrs was the even worse clock management by the LSU coaches and players overshadowed the non-review of the time. The replay official begins his review immediately at the end of each play and the 20 some odd seconds they had between plays at Oxford was plenty of time to see that there were 2 if not 3 seconds on the clock when TT was down.
