I’ve only watched the Vikings once this season and that was against the saints and they gave up 6 rushing touchdowns a record. Their dbs were so bad

I am not unhappy with Jones, but the answer to your question is that we are all familiar with Nielsen from the Saints and think highly of him, and none of us had ever heard of Jones until three days ago.

You have inside info from the Vikings front office? Please tell us more. It’s really embarrassing to be an LSU fan most days thanks to guys like you.

No shite, huh? If they aren’t from LA, or don’t coach for LSU or the Saints, 99% of the people on this board don’t know them. This board isn’t exactly known for its football knowledge

I know where you're going with this, and it's pathetic.

We were all in on Freeman, or did you forget?

of course. Always playing the race card.

Did they conveniently forget that Freeman was our first choice???

An inconvenient truth that they managed to sweep under the rug.

The Saints fought to keep their guy.

The Vikings didn't.

That is one difference between the two.

There is nothing about this hire that should excite any LSU fan.

Wait a second.....

Yep, Saban just hired another former NFL head coach as an assistant.

O is closing the gap on Saban, I tell you what.

Maybe, after this failure we can get the assistant tight end coach from Saganow Valley St next year to be our head coach.

This reeks of desperation.

Not a good look.

How did Cam Cameron and Scott Linehan work out for LSU? Both former NLF head coaches hey?

I don’t think Raymond would be a successful defense coordinator, but after seeing Jones’s defenses why would they not give Raymond a chance.

This hire at least makes it look like Raymond is more of a recruiter & man technique guy than a defensive strategy guy.
