People here love to hate. They hate media, announcers, coaches, players and other posters. Most miserable collection of human beings in one place you can find. They overshadow reasonable posters and drag this site way down from what it should be.

No team in him. All about Corey, especially the last few years.

NO...

Ron Cooper built DBU not Raymond. Raymond did a nice job sustaining it for a few seasons but in large part the DB problem we have now is because of his lack of recruiting and or evaluations of players. With the transfer portal now wide open having a coach that is constantly looking for a pay raise and entertaining offers is terrible for a program. I think this just wore on people over time and eventually he wore out his welcome.

No hate here. I recognize the drop-off his last few seasons here, but also acknowledge he recruited and developed loads of great talent prior to that. If he indeed dies come back, I hope his time away has both humbled and re-energized him a bit. If he comes back focused and energized, he can do great things again.

he got lazy and stopped trying in recruiting.

Link?

It’s an easy statement to put out in the ether. It needs supporting evidence.

Joe Brady and Ron Cooper are still pretty well-loved here IMO

If you're talking ex-players that coached at LSU, Bo Davis and Karl Dunbar refute that.

If you're talking ex-players that are in coaching now in general, I could cite a lot more that are loved, but I'll just say Chevis and Kevin Mawae for now.

Brady was demeaned and dismissed when he left. He was still being mocked until he began to have success at Buffalo a few weeks back. Ron Cooper only started being heralded by those looking to bash Raymond when Raymond’s name started surfacing again this season. Before that not a peep about him. The rant constantly dismisses and demeans Mawae as a coach, you can look at any thread where he’s mentioned and you’ll see that.

Because of Ed O and going to Florida. People won’t give him credit for recruiting/developing guys like Jamal Adams, Tre White, Donte Jackson, Delpit, Fulton, Sting, etc.

To me, its more other fans telling me he's the godfather of DBU when he didn't coach DBs at LSU until after 2011. After Webster, Landry, PP7, Honeybadger, Jai Eugene, Chad Jones. Eric Reid was elite before CR got here. Sometimes he gets TOO much credit from some guys.

If he was brought back and IF he improves the secondary, awesome.

If BK hires him. Great. If not, that's ok, too.

Yeah. I don't get why people think one person is the only answer. How many National Championships have been won without Corey Raymond coaching DBs? All but 1.

It’s a small % that overshadow the reasonable posters. You can read a post, then look at who posted, most times, the miserable ones, made the post! It’s fairly easy.

Why? He doesn’t call the defense and the only big plays that were made on D his last year here practically all came from his secondary.

Exactly what every poster here would do if they could. They hate it, because no other employer wants them.

FYI, As I was told by a close source, He wanted to stay. Wasn't made to feel welcome and pretty much forced/closed out.

Carry on.
