A reason is no one really trusts LSU is that good of a team. It’s why every week someone is apologizing for a comment about how LSU will lose. We just keep winning enough to prove them wrong, even if they are ugly wins

(Idk the algorithm just a general theory)

Because regardless of what the sunshine pumpers would have you believe, how you look in wins and losses matter.

It's not just record and rankings that are considered when evaluating a team.

Honestly, one of my bigger reservations about this team is how we'll do against good teams that we technically SHOULD beat. I have no doubt O can get them up for the huge games on the schedule such as Auburn, UGA and Bama and that we'll play our absolute best against them. I fear that we come out flat against a team like A&M or UF and they make us pay. We'll see.

Rather than lament this injustice, embrace its economic potential. Bet about $10K on the Tigers, and laugh all the way to the bank.

Because it uses ESPN's FPI. According to that LSU is #19 in the country. Behind 8 one loss teams and 1 two loss team(#13 aTm). Behind Miami(#15) and Auburn(#10). To say that their ranking is flawed would be an understatement.

ESPN FPI

Their losses were to better teams than our wins, and they played better in their losses and were more consistent. ESPN's opinion is meaningless, but the betting line now would favor AM. OL getting healthy and receivers maturing will make a difference by November, but College Station is a tough place to play. Probably almost as big a home field advantage as Tiger Stadium used to be.

Why would you be mad? I love it! This team plays its best when people are picking against them. If we just keep winning everything else will take care of itself.

Eyes on the games give a much better measure of the teams. We have NOT looked good on offense.

Its in College Station, they are much more talented than people realize, and they are now well-coached with a very good offense and good run defense.

We will undoubtedly be the Vegas underdog in this one.

Losing to two top 5 teams is better than beating two top 10 teams these days.

I watched their games against Clemson and Bama, and I feel like that's about right. Yes we are number 5 in the country, but the last time I checked that doesn't put points on the scoreboard or keep the other team from scoring.

I'll say that through 4 games, they look much better coached than at any point during sumlin's tenure.

Why? I still think they are slow to the edge, horrible tacklers and lack any interior run game.

But tell me why I’m supposed to fear them?
