Longest run of the game was by Nuss... needs to do more of that

True, but based on past statistics, Van Buren isn't much of a run threat. Y'all can ignore that if you like, but it's just the facts.

I don’t think that’s fair considering the amount of sack yardage that’s involved in those numbers. guy was running for his life and was a true freshman

And so were several other dual-threat quarterbacks over the years, and they didn't have that stat line for rushing. I think it's more indicative to be honest. A true dual-threat doesn't get sacked that much.

to take it to the utmost extent and say there is an argument that VB could/should start over Nuss is absurd.

I'd rather him take his redshirt this year that way we could have him as a rs sophomore next year instead of a junior

MVB is a pocket passer. Irs just that nuss makes every other quarterback look like dual threat because he has stone feet.

Imagine MVB and Ju’uan Johnson in a goal line package. You aren’t losing anything since we can’t really impose our will in goal line situations this nor last year

To be fair, it hasn't NOT worked either.

You're talking about a unique situation... an improving program, with a GOOD team and a top senior qb. You don't demote him; but the overall team may be better next year, and you have a young qb with potential... and a little different style of play.

It doesn't insult Nuss to give the other guy a series or 2 to get him experience, and it might help the team too. And Nuss can analyze the defense for a series and maybe take advantage of it.

Both guys just have to accept what it would be.

Nuss was throwing the ball nice yesterday. His accuracy was on point.
