If UGA wins the NC this year it will be 3 straight CFP Championships by 3 different SEC Teams.

It’s becoming ridiculous.

The SEC won 7 BCS in a row IIRC. This is nothing new.

They tried to change it up to give others a chance but it always shakes itself out… SEC will force the committee to change and start adding more teams to the playoffs…

Yuuup. They need to go to 12 or 16. Makes no sense that every other division in college football and sport use a playoff format with way more than 4 damn teams and we’re stuck with this. No one gives a goddamn about the bowls anymore. Either do away with making the bowls tied to conferences to allow for more interesting matchups ie making coaches play their old teams or expand the freaking playoffs.

Especially when Texas and Oklahoma join.

It will make it easier for other former Big 12 teams to sniff closer to top five due to lack of competition they play

Why are the SEC schools still in the NCAA?

What’s the point?

Political correctness and the imagined sense of fairness. The losers got participation trophies.

Our players would opt out in preparation for the NFL.

National media always trying to say big 10 is catching up to the SEC and every year the same result. Everyone knows SEC is the best conference and its not even close when you look at the amount of talent it puts in the pros every year.

It’s only going to get worse with Texas and Oklahoma joining. The likelihood of all SEC nattys is increasing. Texas won’t be down forever. OU is right there in the mix.

You have to keep the audience involved.
If you told the truth there would be no audience.

Im interested to see OM/BU tonight. BU shoulda gotten the Cinn spot.

The SEC is not forcing the committee to change anything. It is the cry from other conferences and their fan base to change. The committee pick the 4 teams they thought earned the chance for a national title. I saw a pole where the national fan base was not happy with Bama, Ga not playing each other the first round, there by not having an all SEC title game again. This was the major reason the 4 team format was created. FYI, the national fan base HATES the SEC, lol.

Once OU and Texas join, that's a very real scenario. I bet the TV money alone for an SEC playoff would double what the SEC gets from the CFP.

I am just REALLY HOPING that Georgia wins, which will provide bama with the experience of having to beat a top flight team TWICE late in the year, and not being able to do it.
