At least he can actually coach, one side of the ball will always be good. You get a good DC to pair with him and you’ll have a chance. We get too caught up in name recognition over here, we need someone who can coach football.

Florida went hard for him and he didn’t bite
And That is a place where he could win a championship and he is familiar with the state

So if he didn’t bite there, it gives me pause to think he’d come here

Maybe wait until a better candidate is available. You don’t jump the gun on stuff like firing coaches if there’s no good options to replace him.

I don’t agree with waiting, but at least you have your reasonings.

Florida donor class is a lot harsher than LSU.

We’ll never move forward trying to hire past resumes instead of future football coaches. We’ll just end up back to where we are now. There’s nobody out there to steal away anymore, we should build our own thing.

You people need to get off this shite, Kiffin is either signing a huge extension or signing a new contract elsewhere this season. LSU will not have a coaching vacancy this season and possibly even next.

It’s not that I wouldn’t want Lane but if he’s the type of coach who would leapfrog to a conference rival like lsu it confirms he’s not the type of coach we want. I don’t want to snake a coach away from ole miss or steal a coach mid season on a championship team like we did with BK. I want to hire a guy that has the balls to at least finish out the season with his team

I think Kiffin would be great. I also think he'll be finishing up his first season elsewhere when were finally able to get rid of BK. Not probably gonna be an option.

he fits UF perfectly, he reminds me of a younger spurrier, I would be very surprised if UF doesn't get him.

Truth. I have to admit that there’s a part of me that would like to see him at LSU, but it is very unlikely to happen.

Florida admin is the not same from the 90s.

Their donor class are rich yankees from New York.

No!

So, you fire your coach because the fans are pissed with average results, then you go after Kiffin. What happens when he laughs and says I don’t want your job? What’s next? Go to the Rant to see who they would hire?

Kiffin is not ever going to be the LSU head coach.
