Wade really isn't on Alleva, more on Nunez, so this doesn't really hold water.

So you think his third shot at hiring a coach for a second level program is going to outweigh a colossal frick up hire for the primary program? Did hiring Shaka Smart help Steve Patterson keep his job at Texas?

I doubt anyone needs a crystal ball to predict those outcomes.

I believe this. I believe the dumbasses sitting on the BOS will let him slide if we don't get run out of the stadium. F. King may be a great on the academics side but he doesn't know jack shite about football and apparently he can't make the connection between football and economic impact on the University and community at large.
There are zero reasons to keep Alleva around. He has got to go.

Perhaps someone more well versed in BOS procedure can correct me, but my reading of the BOS Bylaws is that only the BOS can take action on something like firing an Athletic Director (see "Matters Requiring Approval by the Board, Section 11(b), pg 11).
LSU BOS Bylaws as of December 9, 2016
It also looks like any such "Significant Board Matter" would have to be submitted to F. King for notice (but not his approval) at least 15 days prior to the next regularly scheduled board meeting, although in "exceptional circumstances" which should be "rare," it looks like you can get away with as little as 5 days' notice (see "Timing for submission of proposals," Section D(1), pg 14). My guess is that's exigent circumstances like the university about to go bankrupt, not getting Alleva out 2 weeks sooner.
There is a BOS meeting a week from Friday on October 13, but the deadline to submit agenda items is September 14, 2017, much more than 14 days.
LSU BOS Meeting Schedule
I'm guessing that's for normal agenda items under Article IV, Section 4 on pg. 3, not Significant Board Matters or the like. Either way it would have had to be on the agenda by Thursday, September 28 to make it into this meeting unless the "rare" 5 day notice was somehow invoked. The agenda for the 10/13 meeting is not yet online, so it's not possible to know if an Alleva firing is on the Agenda yet, or if it will be there at all.
Article II, Section 2 on page 2 allows for the Chair to call a special meeting anytime, or the Secretary can do it if 9 other BOS memebers sign off on it. I'm not clear on if a Significant Board Matter can be handled this way, but I don't see a clear prohibition on it either. Again, if anyone else more politically savvy than me has more details, fire away.
Long/Short, it doesn't appear that Alleva can be fired on one person's whim, like a game show. It looks like it'll take time to make it happen properly, even once it's obvious it needs to happen. For example, Rick Pitino is on video offering six figure payoffs to college basketball recruits, and even Louisville has to wait 10 days to fire him. With this kind of money at stake it has to be done right, and doing it right takes time.

Better put, the basketball season wont have as big of impact because it doesn't bring in as much revenue.

END OF STORY
Alleva is dead in the water - if you can't see that, then you're not being honest with yourself. One potentially good hire in basketball is not going to save him after he's botched two prior ones and made what may be one of the worst hires in the history of college football. Google "Joe Alleva" and look at the national articles saying he should be let go. How often do you see that written about athletic directors?
