Why is CPM catching all the heat yet the players are spared?

Is Paul the scapegoat for his players looking like they’re in tee-ball league?

It’s not like this is our boys first rodeo yet literally everything - defense, hitting, pitching is all off.

Maybe it’s time for the players to assume part of the responsibility for their crap play. No rally possum this year

Why do players play well for some coaches, and play like absolute dogshit for others?

Who recruited and coached the players?

If you want to say that this team has a poor approach at the play you would be right.

If you want to say this is the worst LSU bullpen in 30 years you would be right.

The problem with your logic is these aren’t the same players that have been underachieving for 4 years now.

But yeah, if you want to blame teenagers and not the millionaire coach then go for it

Why are their recruiting classes ranked so high yet the production isn't anywhere close?
Why do so few players progress the longer they're in the program?
Why do so many of the freshmen who play well regress/plateau?
Why do so many pitchers have issues with walks?
Why are clearly subpar players starting over clearly superior players?
Why is the defense bad across the board?

If it's a small number of people screwing up, it's their fault.
If it's mostly everyone, it's the boss' fault.

It all begins & ends with the head coach

Recruiting doesn’t bring in good players, pitchers don’t develop as they should, errors cost runs, too many strike outs....there are plenty of assistants to carry the blame of not having the team ready but it’s the head coaches job to make sure assistants are doing theirs & make changes if needed

Why are the athletes being spared? Hmmm, I mean they are the ones making millions of dollars right?

Because this is not just a 2021 problem. That’s why.

he gets the most of the heat bc he recruited these motherfrickers and this isn't the first or second season we have been through this shite. He's got to go. Also, he gets paid $1.3 mil a year and the players don't.

Man, I like Mainieri but he's the coach.

I don't necessarily think it's fair that he gets ALL the heat. Dunn is in there in my opinion.

Hitting coach, eh.... don't know.

I said this in another post, it's like the team overthinks plays or something given who the opponent is. We make goofy errors and throw a lot of free passes.

I'm just praying this team can turn it around. This is really upsetting to see.

His players, his coaches, his responsibility. Pretty simple. He should have been gone along time ago. Keep making excuses for him and you’ll keep having a subpar team.

Because he’s the boss, he’s the millionaire and it’s sad that you aim your attacks downward instead of at the man in charge.

This is from an LSU fan, but not really a baseball fan. I will watch LSU baseball in the post season, but not really during the regular season.

After watching coaches interviews and interactions with the press in a number of different sports, I've never been that impressed with the CPM leadership personality. He seems like a very nice man. But, I wonder if he is getting through to his players when they aren't playing well.

I have no clue about his baseball knowledge, teaching abilities, and if he is keeping up with the changing nature of the game. I don't know if he has the right assistants and is recruiting the right players.

For the diehard LSU baseball fans, I really hope he can turn things around or LSU will find someone who will!
