Cuz if you’re asking this maybe other teams are too? Would it matter if we won?

Denbrock is your answer.
There is no reason for JD to have confidence in Boutte. He hasn't produced, isn't making those "can always rely on me" difficult plays, isn't running good routes (e.g.- feet, not yards, from boundary giving an uber tight window for JD), and probably is 2nd in targets (after yesterday) and is 5th in receptions.
One thing JD does do welll is spread the ball around and Denbrock also gets some credit for that. You can't waste opportunities on a non-producer when struggling on 3rd downs.
And if you want to go by eye test- compare how the passing game went against MSST w/o Boutte compared to last night. Which isn't a fair comparison by any stretch but that's how "eye tests" work.

Well, I speak often with a few players. Buckle up kid, we won't be so lucky from here in out with wins.
It's not hard to see if you really look

Does JD need eye exam?
Maybe he can’t see more than 20 yards
Serious question

Yes, your all American is not playing like one! He drops balls and pouts! Need to target Bech!

He is but he needs to bust it!!

b/c JD5 gives LSU the best chance to win. That's all you need to know.

Boutte is 3rd best receiver on the team right now
Quite possibly the truth-
Looks like he’s not the sure handed receiver he was believed to be. He was dropping passes last night that were thrown right on his numbers.

He’s big, only runs 3 yards down the field, then stops and waves while wide open. He’s the first person JD sees that’s open so he chunks it. Otherwise he tucks and runs.

Can someone please explain this to me?
Preach on. A proven cadre of WR's, with the potential to be even better, gets wasted. Sooner or later it will become 'ref A 'for other coaches to point out to our incoming WR recruits AND current players who could hit the portal. Need to address this ASAP whether it be shorter routes, end arounds, bubble screens, etc. Get them the darn ball.

That about sums up most of our fans. We knew coming in it was rebuilding year yet you’ve got dumbasses criticizing everyone and everything at the first hint of adversity. Lots of quitters and mentally weak people among us.
This post really caught my attention mainly because you would definitely put me in this category. Unfortunately, patience has eluded me in recent years.
However, how muck latitude do you give under the banner of rebuilding? LSU has NFL talent on this roster, especially in the WR group. Some competency judgements and expectations on scheme, adjustments, skill development, etc. bears merit 5 games in, no?

Because we are trying to develop our own Brock Bowers
Posted on 10/2/22 at 2:41 pm to MONROE
Because our QB does not see the field. He will not or cannot let the ball go.
Jenkins. Jefferson.

Sure did because the TE has no place being in the game. He should be running more WR stacked sets not sets with TEs. I wouldn't expect anyone who lacks football IQ to understand that though. Not only that, there's designs in his concepts to look at the TE as the first read which is what Daniels is doing. He's open, he throws it. So yes, I nailed it. Denbrock is your answer.

Guy was in shock in Game 1 against FSU babbling at halftime and after the game. Looked out of it last night too.
Guess he is used to playing bad competition for years at ND and is adjusting to the big boys in the SEC.

The real question is when there are 30 pass plays called, why are only 13 passes thrown?

He is big and close, consider him a safety valve
