Why is a freshman TE getting twice as many targets as an All American WR every game?

Because Daniels keeps checking down. He can't throw downfield so he keeps dumping it down to the TE.

Part of it is scheme

Part of it is how the defenses are playing us

Most of it is because the quarterback is extremely risk averse

One reason is because if the route is over 8 yds downfield they quit because the QB will not wait till they run the route. He runs after the first read....

For years assholes bitched about getting the tight ends involved. Now they’re involved, assholes bitch because they are.

Don’t narrow it to one receiver.
Boutte
Nabors
Jenkins
Thomas, Jr
Bech

All of them stand around with their thumbs up their butt while Daniels forces balls to the freshmen tight end.

Taylor primarily runs 6 yd routes in the middle of the field and easily visible.

The rest of the WRs primarily run routes that take too long to develop.

That about sums up most of our fans. We knew coming in it was rebuilding year yet you’ve got dumbasses criticizing everyone and everything at the first hint of adversity.

Lots of quitters and mentally weak people among us.

Because his pops is Jason Taylor. They are forcing the ball to him and he's not delivering. He's probably leading the team in dropped passes.

It is not the fact that the TE is involved it is just how much and just maybe because the guy is a freshman and has dropped a career load of easy passes already!

Is all TE involvement the exact same? Are all TE running routes the same? Do they all make the same exact plays in every offense?

Do you know the meaning of the word "nuance"?

This is a generalization.

People are not upset the TE is catching the ball, they're upset the TE is involved in unproductive plays in an unproductive offense.

Because they are leaving him open and it can be pivotal to staying on time, ahead the sticks, and give confidence to the QB. Unfortunately our QBs have been shite and TE is struggling hand catching.

It's unreal!
One of Kelly's biggest frickups
Hes a fricking moron. Kelly is a dick, and always has been. He's doing this in purpose to show he'll take on the leaders. Bech is the best player we have on the offense, period.

I hate kelly...and soon so will all of you

This...Easier throw...simply put. I think the conversation between he and Boutte' caught on video says everything about the relationship that JD has with his receivers.

Then adjust and have Boutte run crossing routes instead of 15yd out routes
