The SEC is posturing for 2 teams in the CFP. Only way that happens is if UGA wins out and beats LSU.

An UGA loss prior to the SECCG will lessen the Ref Factor in Atlanta.

And, yes, my tinfoil hat fits just fine. Come at me, bro.

Seems self explanatory to me, he's saying that if UGA is in a postition to get the #4 spot during the SECCG then the "Refs" might be out to make that happen, which only happens if they beat LSU

I have a hard time seeing the whole ref angle after the Alabama game. It was a pretty well called game and was in no way skewed towards one team.

I see what you’re saying but I hope GA wins so when we beat them in the SEC Championship game we stay at #1. That would allow OSU & Clemson to beat up on each other first!

Yep. Also, if they lose to A&M and then beat us, they still aren't going to the CFP. Either we would or Oregon/Utah and OU would. UGA losing to Aggie might be a buffer for us, should we lose in the SECCG. We'd still drop to the #4 spot, but we might not drop out.

I don't see the SEC attempting to decrease the opportunity of one of its schools to go undefeated with a heisman trophy winner to get to the CFP just to maybe get a second team in.

Because, while i think both LSU and UGA are in with an undefeated LSU losing to a 1-loss UGA in the SECCG, it does make it more difficult for LSU to get in -- and i have to imagine the SEC would rather have LSU for sure in than definitely UGA and (high percentage chance but still) maybe LSU.

If anything, the "Ref Factor" maybe in LSU's favor no matter what in the SECCG.

Many refs might not plan to cheat, but as humans, they can be swayed by outside factors subconsciously.

Honestly, contrary to what some may think, I believe the CFB nation loves LSU right now. I'm not saying we will get calls in our favor, but I think we will get the benefit of the doubt on some.

LSU and Heisman hopeful Burrow are the team most want to see win the NCG. We are fun to watch, Louisiana culture fascinates the rest of the country and people love Coach O and Burrow. There are detractors out there, but the football enthusiasts love this team.

If you don't believe me, look at the LSU game TV ratings this season. Enjoy it. I said after the Texas game we were the "it" team and I still believe it.

We need one loss UGA to lock up the #1 seed.

No, we don't.

We just need to keep winning, unless we squeak by Arkie and Ohio State waxes Penn State.

Anyway, I kinda consider a+m-UGA game outcome a win/win because aggee losing is always fun.

Great thinking, sir! And, of course, if we crap in our cereal in the game against a two loss Georgia squad, it might make it easier for the playoff folks to skip us altogether in favor of whom? Alabama!

aggie beating uga would guarantee us a spot as long as we win out our regular season

i actually want aggie to win bc uga fans are being very obnoxious right now

however, beating a higher ranked uga team in the sec champ would assure us the #1 spot which is very important

Oh no, they are still lobbying hard for Bama. They need LSU to remain undefeated and #1. Makes Bama's loss look good. The newest line of promotion is that if Bama beats Auburn with Mac Jones then Tua missing is not a problem for them. Problem is Auburn has three losses now and is about like our Texas win and if Bama beats them then that is 4 losses...

I very much dislike complaining about referees. I don't care about the referees. Best teams usually win. Even with bad calls, the "losing" team usually have opportunities to win the game. Blaming Refs is so Ole Miss. Its so second rate. Just make the plays and win the game.

And we won = Alabama has great teams - give them a small ref boost and they are almost unbeatable

Level playing field others have a chance.

All we have ever wanted
