It's a done deal and will be one hell of a game.
False.
I've tried to save y'all some money a few times already. I'm tellin' y'all ... buy your tickets now.

Tickets aren't really an issue for me. I go where the team goes.
Therefore, I think Orlando > Dallas (and Michigan St. > A&M).

Be there on next week and through the weekend. Don't know if I can swing another trip that soon, BUT for 1.275 million more reasons, I want LSU to go.

The clear financial favorite seems to be the Capital One Bowl, with a sleek payout of $4.3 million, slightly ahead of the $3.6 million from the Cotton Bowl. But payouts are often misconstrued, as total revenue from all the SEC bowl games is totaled and then redistributed.
"All the money goes to the conference," Ausberry said. "There is no difference in money. People get caught up in that too much. Most people think it's more money."

Do you know Verge? the conference shares in the revenue. It is NOT all going to the conf.
hmmm
here is what the paper said...
3.4 versus 4.675...

Cap1 is 4.25 million, but payouts don't matter, so I'm kind of getting tired of people bringing it up.
LSU gets the same amount of money for Cap1 and Cotton.

It will give them a look at the stadium they'll play in opening day next year.

why i don't want to play texas a&m in the cotton bowl
#1- it's the cotton bowl; dallas sucks as a bowl destination
#2-our opponent has sucked for 10 years and is a very good team this year; beating us will put them on the national map
#3-i question if this is a good bowl for our players; they have to be disappointed and i just don't see how the coaches are going to get them pumped up about playing a team that has been irrelevant so long that our players aren't even old enough to know when they didn't stink.
#4-i can assure you, a&m will be as fired up as arkansas and they have a damn good defense. they have a DL ever bit as good as arky and they have a rush guy (miller) that is as good as fairly (close anyway).
these factors put us in a lose/lose situation. i hate to be a debbie downer put this seasons ending is really pissing me off. losing to arkansas and losing the sugar bowl, going to a sucky bowl playing an opponent gunning for us to establish their program's legitimacy and now i hear crowton may be stayin

I don't get why everyone keeps saying we get more money from the CAP ONE. The way the conference divides up bowl revenue is each team receives money for expense from the game the remaning money is divided among all 12 schools.
No link but it has been like that for years.

Then admit that you are a loser, crawl into a corner, cower and hope that someone else can make you a living.

Lsu is far from a media darling
Posted on 12/3/10 at 10:26 pm to JimKnuckles
The real reason why lsu does not want to play A&M:
Deep down inside you know lsu is going to lose.
Start getting your excuses ready, because you will need them come 1/7/2010.

From one GrandDad to another, I have to disagree with a couple of your points. The new stadium in Irving is a fabulous venue and very fan-friendly. The atomosphere for that game will be electric, much more like a game in Tiger Stadium than the VitaminC Bowl arena. A&M has a rich history in spite of a few down years. Beating Nebraska, OU and Texas has already put them on the map.
You are right that the Aggies will be fired up, have solid, SEC type talent and of course they view LSU as a major opponent, worthy of their best effort. LSU is used to this, week-in and out in the SEC, year after year. The new Cowboys stadium is primed to move into a BCS bowl slot in the near future and is one of the reasons they are seeking to get a top ten team that is BCS bowl eligible. Word from around the campus is the players and coaches prefer the Cotton over the Cap one. Playing in that venue will also give the Tigers a leg up prior to their meeting there with Oregon next September. I do understand that it's still a lemon to you and others and I respect that. Let's make some lemonade.

If you don't think a Big 12 DL can be fast, you haven't seen Von Miller play.

How someone can say that a game in the nicest, most state of the art stadium in the world, that's in the 9th largest city in the United States sucks as a bowl destination is beyond me.
have you ever been to an out of town bowl game. the activities last for several days. it can be a great time for fans and players alike. let's see, in florida you have beaches, seafood, all kinds of outdoor activities to enjoy as you lead up to the game. in dallas, you may have ice, snow, dreariness in general. this ain't for the NC man.

Sorry pops...you need to get the headspace and timing on your brain pan recalibrated. LSU will be fired up. If LSU plays near it's best, and the aggies play their best, LSU still wins.
