AGAIN LSU has NOTHING to gain by playing a lower ranked school PLUS the $$$ 1.6 Million would be lost. I HATE THIS CRAP

Jake, it seems that noone understands this. the cap 1 bowl is a higher ranked bowl and has a much larger tv audience and it offering a higher ranked opponent AND it's in friggin' florida in the winter. but, because it's at fricking jerrie's world (a washed out alcohlic that owns a despicable football team) these people think it's better. i say let them go to north texas, eat bulls balls and get stuck in the ice.

The Cap One Bowl is higher in the pecking order, now but the Cotton has history and was once one of the the big 4 bowls. While the Cap One bowl offer a higher ranked opponent this year, the Cotton has an opponent that LSU has not played in a while, but has had a decent rivalry with in the past. Its also in a neighboring state in a city with a large LSU alumni/fan base.

You make some good points, but no one really cares that the Cap One is a "better" bowl. The Cotton is still a Jan bowl vs a ranked team.
