Firing a coach a year after his unit won the award for best in the country and coming off of an abnormal, pandemic-impacted season is so illogical that the rant is the only place in the world that people would either a) fall for this or b) be dumb enough to consider it. Only logical rationale is if there is secondary motive, i.e., getting a former LSU OL as the position coach.

Agree that Cregg is awful recruiter, but it amazes me that no one mentions the fact that HIS Tiger Oline won the Moore award last year for best Oline in college football. And that was with a good group, but not a bunch of 5 star superstars. He has to get a lot of credit for that.

that comment demonstrates how little you watched LSU football last year. Burrow and CEH made the OL look much much better than they were. While I'm glad LSU was honored with an award, it was about as well earned as Delpit's award as best DB in the nation. Award givers obviously don't watch football, just the stats and preseason hype (Delpit)

Y’all do realize three of those guys started in the NFL as rookies this year with no rookie mini camps and very little ability to practice this off season. They learned something at LSU. They are a unit and between injuries, suspensions and inexperience they didn’t look great at times and never appeared to developed chemistry this year but saying the dude can’t coach is reaching... It looked like we ran the same 5 rushing plays all year... zero misdirection...

We got better this year, and is we can get Dumervil ready we will be fine with the guys sticking around this year.

Well having a QB that knows where his protection is and where the pressure is coming from is part of modern football. You see that in the NFL as well. I think the OL in 2019 was damn good, 2 of the guys, Cush and Lewis started day one as soon as they hit training camp in the NFL. Sadiq was drafted, lower than he was because he had off field issues, but that was 3 draft picks. Big Ed will get drafted next year and I still think Deculus should come back again, work on somethings, and I think he can get drafted. Still 3 of the 5 last year were drafted in the 2020 NFL draft and 2 were day 1 starters.

The game against a&m i felt like tj had no clue where it was coming from
People keep saying burrow made the line and that's just not true. In some instances, yes he got out of trouble but that line was pretty good

I agree, OL does its part but QB has to know where pressures are coming from and where his protection gives best chance to get rid of ball.

Why haven’t we fired Raymond yet? Sure, he can recruit but he doesn’t develop those recruits properly. Our secondary has been a liability for 2-3 years now. Even stingley took a step back this year. You have to ask why.
