This is so true.....he will never be a big winner. Sure, he will overwhelm bad teams, but he lost to Kentucky, and I believe that was their only win in conference? No excuses. OM fans that I know are coping, but not blaming it on Kiffin or Dart. They don't understand that Kiffin will never win, and Dart was highly overrated.

Yep, folks who have been around to see his long track record as a head coach know this is his M.O. How he keeps getting the shine is puzzling to me.

I do think this year shows him for what he's always been to even a higher degree as it's almost certainly the best overall roster he's ever had as a head coach.

People just expect his teams to fall apart after the first big loss.

Lane lost the LSU game and the Florida game in no small part due to his "pride" or "arrogance". In both games, he multiple times went for it on 4th down and was stopped, when he should have kicked the FG and extended his lead.

It would be truly comical if, God Forbid, he became the LSU coach on how the Rant would react to this!

Media should be giving him more grief.

As for the Ole Miss fans, truth is, they don't get as worked up about their team as LSU, Alabama, or even Auburn fans do. They just don't. When LSU beat Bama two years ago, an MSU friend was over watching the game with me. He couldn't believe I was yelling at the tv in the fourth quarter. That's what you have in this state.

This.

Lame only had to beat Kentucky to make the CFP. 1-7 SEC team.

I listen to lots of "Locked On..." podcasts including Ole Miss. I'm under the impression that he is getting a LOT of grief

Before the season, I assumed it was a near lock they’d make a 12 team playoff with that roster and returning QB. At least well north of 90% chance.

Couldn’t be happier they failed.

And has one of the best roster in the SEC thanks to old money Rebels going all in on the transfer portal. Arguably the best roster he's ever had as a head coach, and the easiest OOC schedule in the conference and he still blew it.

Because it’s expected of them. Ole Miss will never be an elite program.

Ole Miss is a solid football team, with beatdowns of S Carolina & Georgia. They're an elite fleet

Why does he have to experience more grief? How does that make anything better? He has to live with himself. Penalty enough.
