No one is doing this. We're just talking. It's what fans do.

So you're back at it?

Seriously though, it's not hard to say this. Any student can just walk on and play for some of the teams. Like the ice hockey team. I'd never even picked up a pair of ice skates, and one of my professors asked me to come play. I thought he was BSing me.

I already stated that I ran in circles. In other words I ran track which is a fully sanctioned division 1 NCAA sport.

well did it never occur to you that it might not always be national championships every year? There's peaks and valleys bro. Just calm down and we'll get back to where we all want to be.
Very Long. All those with weak attention spans, (The "Did not Read" bunch) just might as well skip this and move on.

LSU Alum as well and GBFTL Drummer.

From Mandeville. Played football, (Strong & Free Safety) basketball and threw Javelin in track as a freshman, sophomore and junior. We didn't have baseball, but played Summer baseball. (Not real big, but very quick) Did Concert Band and Mardi Gras parades after Christmas break in the Winter/Spring.

Family moved to Fort Walton Beach Florida after Junior year. Senior year at Choctawhatchee High School, I concentrated only on marching band because I was too small (5'9" 170) to play football at LSU and I knew that's where I definitely wanted to attend college. (Choctaw had one of the biggest and best bands in the State of Florida and the Country)

Long history of going to LSU games; way back there. As I've stated previously on here, I've probably seen roughly 90% of the games in Tiger Stadium since the early 70's. Been there, done that.

All that being said and having an athletic-competitive background, there is no way LSU should EVER have "Peaks and Valleys" with a valley low enough to lose a freaking football game to Miss. State by 30 points and be dominated by Troy State.

That's totally unacceptable!

We don't have to win a NC every year either, but I do think that winning the SEC/SEC West every 2-3 years is not out of line.

LSU should NEVER be as non-competitive as we saw against State and Troy!

If you've ever played at all and just have a smidgeon of football knowledge, you can see that there are multiple problems in the program. (Coaching AND Personnel)

Current LSU football problems are majority due to huge OL and DL deficits because of extremely low standards of excellence in recruiting (OL) and in numbers. (DL)

Problems elsewhere. Some of the position coaching is extremely weak at the unacceptable level (OL, WR, OLB) and I'm not seeing the HC display the overall organizational ability that you need. (Coaching, leadership, team preparation)

All that being said, it's offensive to be told how to react to LSU Football and Athletic Department dysfunction. Everybody reacts differently, depending on age, maturity level and background.

I certainly don't freak out and let this shite effect my life in a negative manner, but I don't have a problem with the masses being allowed to express their opinions on here.

It's Piped-In Music level annoying and irritating to see the constant censorship measures being taken by the Pumpnut Pump Lump MA's, as well as the LSUAD paid informant thought control gestapo. (Yall aint foolin anybody)

Florida is not that good. This game will be a very good indicator of things to come, so just hunker down and brace yourselves for the Hurricane, because I think it's going to get much worse before it starts to get better..................

Ok I'll bite. Because a winning program attracts students from out of state. It also attracts tens of thousands of people to baton rouge several times a year. With that comes an economic boom to the community.

A losing program doesn't help anyone.

For the same reason all shareholders of companies care about the company's performance; I don't want to see my investment pissed away. I give to LSU athletics through TAF and every time I see a 578 number on my caller display I answer the call and give even more. And the only return I expect on that investment is a quality product on the field. I don't expect championships every year but I do expect to be competitive and in the hunt at least until the end of October. I don't think that's a lot to ask of a football coach at LSU.

My opinion should matter and that goes for every other fan out there. It doesn't matter if you give millions or just pay for tickets when you can.

Preach brother, preach! Amen!

I care because I have been a fan dating back as far as I can remember which is about 36 years. I have seen LSU through the ups and downs. I have seen LSU first hand during the golden era of the last 17 years and have seen the program's potential. The one thing that has consistently burned the program is good ole baw Louisiana politics. Keep the politics out, the program plays for the most part up to it's potential. I have seen the dark underbelly of the dark era of the program. I told myself, LSU fans should never had to endure that crap again. Add the fact that I am alum and a stakeholder in TAF, I care that much more. And If I was a former player like yourself, I would be steaming pissed right now seeing the programing burning in flames knowing all of this could have been completely avoided. Hell I am steaming pissed being a lifelong fan, alum and current TAF member. Finally, I certainly didn't like how O politicked his way into the back door of the program, played a full on back door political campaign with Alleva, King and a few members of the BOS while throwing Les Miles under the bus who minus the last few years and a few other f ups a pretty darn great coach at LSU.

I am happy for you.

You handle a fricked up search, a fricked up hire, and a fricked up season the way you want and let the rest of us do the same.
