It's Tulane's home game. They can choose to play it wherever they want.

Why does tulane have to play at alex box stadium when there's a perfectly good UHigh field right there and it would be cheaper?

as college baseball's #1 fan base we should be allowed to dictate where we play our opponents and how much they can charge for the privilege of watching us play.
if Tulane keeps these antics up I will never applaud their mighty efforts in the Box. Ever!

If LSU fans are that much up in arms about jacked up prices, then they should just not go. It is only one game. If you don't want to help fun Tulane's program then don't buy a ticket and let their fans do it instead.
I choose to not go to this game because I simply hate Tulane's campus and the area of town that it is in. It is very cramped and just a pain in the arse to get to…and there are too damned many hipsters running around all over the place.

We should not ever play toolame in New Orleans. All it does is help them. It is a fact that they use our game as a fund-raiser. Toolame is a shameless private school with an attitude that has taken shots at us and will continue to do so. They actually get funds from the state legislature even though they are a private institution. I know this as I am a 2-time past president of the GNO Alumni Assn. and have inside info. Their arrogant fans mistakenly believe that they are on our level-what a joke! Whenever athletic issues are discussed, they always throw out their "education standards" as an excuse. You have to live in the greater New Orleans area to appreciate why we should not do ANYTHING that helps toolame. We don't need to play them but they certainly need to play us. If we should happen to lose to them it is a disgrace to us but to them it is like they won the national championship. There really is no rivalry. It is only in the minds of the New Orleans media. How many real LSU fans care at all about playing toolame???

Serious question: are the face value prices for this game jacked up by the university, or are filthy-rich Tulane season ticket holders holding the tickets hostage on StubHub?
If it's the latter, how are LSU fans helping fund Tulane's program by buying these tickets?

Zephyr gets pretty full for the Pontiff Classic. There are a lot of tiger fans in that area who can't always make it to BR.
But, i don't see a problem with a team playing a home game on their home field.
