How come there’s only two pieces of bacon on the bacon cheeseburger at Sonic’s?

I have to say that I do enjoy watching the precision of the Aggie band. But it seems to me that it is the same show every time I see it.

LSU banned opposing bands from marching before a season sometime within the last decade. I forget what year. But the backlash was severe and people made fun of the decision so LSU reversed it pretty quickly.

TAMU’s band put me to sleep

I mean we let visiting teams take the field….. is it that far off to let the visiting band take the field?

Yep, usually one of the Mississippi schools or Auburn

That's a long standing tradition

A&M. Their band is great and I will always want to see them when they are in Tiger Stadium
No. It’s not. It’s nothing special at all.
They do the same performance they did in 1973.

Hell, with that logic, why do we let the opposing team on the field too?

LSU tried not letting opposing bands perform a few years ago and there was massive backlash.
The best part about when the Bama band takes the field at half time is booing them while they take the field
It’s not like it really matters nobody watches half time shows anyways. It’s pretty much expected if someone brings their whole band they get to march halftime. Not really worth bringing the whole band if you can’t march

This. We always looked forward to the full band away game trips. I remember we got a bonus one in 96. We went to Auburn and then Ole Miss later in the season.
The band didn’t stay the night after the OM game, but my family is in Memphis, so my now wife met us there and we drive to my old house after the game. We spent the next day with my family and she drove us back to school Sunday. Good times.
We only did the pep bands for Arkansas in that shitty stadium in LR. But since it was close to home, some of us would invite friends in the band who couldn’t get home to Memphis for Thanksgiving to eat with our families. And then party. Then we would drive to LR for the game and back to Memphis before heading back to school Sunday.
Bowl Game trips were the best, even if Shreveport isn’t a fun place to hang around. My wife and I went from friends to more than that after hanging out on the 95 Indy Bowl trip, so I can’t complain about that.
I always loved the road trips with TGBFTL.

The offer is there for EVERY school, every home game, but most don't bring their full band for monetary reasons.

That is the pageantry of college football. To actually be a true host the actions like this define it.
To me its about giving the other school respect and an introduction to their culture.
This is another reason why I prefer CFB than the NFL. CFB is the classy version of football.

It's my understanding that the visiting school has to pay for all those seats that their band uses. If they decide to bring a full band, they perform on the field.
It's going to be interesting, though, to see what the SEC does with Texas. About five years ago Texas moved visiting bands from the lower level of Memorial Stadium to the upper-upper-corner of the end zone. You needed binoculars to find them.
Their slapdick AD claimed it was to "protect the integrity of the student section." WTF does that mean?
Schools protested. Most just don't bring their bands to Austin anymore. And when Texas shows up at their stadium, they return the favor by sticking the Texas band in the worst seats they can find.

Seems like you don't know the difference between graciousness and pettiness. It's okay, not many younger people do anymore.
Just an FYI: Graciousness > pettiness.
Be big, don't be small.
