We had a gift with fumble on the kickoff return and wanted to make sure we got something out of the gift. The field goal kicking was shaky and did not want to risk losing yardage on a sack.

Agree it was the right decision especially considering how good our defense is. Skillet is trolling but the losers are coming out to cry about something that doesnt matter.

I'm far from a Miles apologist. But Miles made the right decision here. If you can't understand why Miles made this decision then you are just looking for things to bitch about.

Do some of you realize that the 12 second play would be a completely different tactic than the 3rd down play in the fourth quarter?
In the fourth quarter, Jennings takes the sack because there was no play to be made. At the end of the half, its easy - you tell him, two seconds - throw it up to Dupree (or whoever we are doing the fade to) or throw it out of the endzone. No thinking, no decisions, no scrambling. Those are the only two options.
Either the staff doesn't know what to do, or has no trust that Jennings is capable of following such simple instructions. Either is a problem, but given what a senior Bo Wallace did against us when told to throw the 10 yard out route for a shorter FG, you can't trust any QB 100% to do what is best.
