Why didn't we run another play with 12 seconds on the clock?

12 seconds is plenty enough time to run another play and still have time for a field goal. I'm guessing the obvious answer here is our goofy arse ignorant head coach, Les Miles.

He's way too conservative. It was a 2nd down, we could have taken a shot at the end zone and clock would have stopped with an incomplete pass.

We had no timeouts
We get the ball back at half
Jennings had taken a sack or two earlier and where we were on the field, coaches probably expected cover 0 or cover 1 with a +1 blitz

Take the 3 while you can, live to fight another day

Play calling is timid. I can't stand it. Playing not to lose is the surest way to lose

Would you bet $1000 that Jennings would not take a 10 yard sack or throw an int?

Or Jennings could have took a sack like he did in the fourth quarter

Would you try to run another play if you didn't have a QB

And what if AJ threw a pick, or held the ball too long and got sacked? Yall would be bitching about it from now until August. With an inconsistent QB, it was the right decision.

And what would have happened if Jennings was sacked or had to scramble and then tackled?

It was the correct decision to kick it.

On the previous play Jennings didn't throw the ball as soon as he took his 3 step drop... Fast forward to our last drive....Jennings took a sack to make a longer field goal.. Staff felt the chances of a mistake with no timeouts was greater than a touchdown.... Had to get at least 3 points from the speedy noil gift.

Les had no confidence in AJ to get the ball off, rightfully so, but Les never has any confidence in his QB's. At least on this occasion he erred on the side of caution.

Why would you want the quarterback everyone hates on running another play if he would have ran another play a jennings takes a sack or throws an int in endzone you'd be wanting to know why he didnt kick a field goal

The correct answer is in order to criticize Miles regardless.
