I believe because of his past troubles, it was a stipulation for him coming that he would only play when absolutely necessary.

toss dive left is basic... when you mix in toss dive right, that is where the complexities and nuances of the offense come into play.

Hey, did you hear that it is 2020 and LSU just had the most remarkable season in college football history, went 15-0,
won the SEC, and won the National Championship?

It's true!

It takes years to master the short side option.

Why dredge this shite up again. Mett wasn’t that hot in 2012 until the Bama game.
He was a stunning 11-25 v UF, 12-25 v SC, 11-29 v aTm, 15-27 v AU, 15-26 v Towson etc.

Even after Bama, he wasn’t spectacular.

His legend outstrips his actual production.

JJ and Lee were both established seniors and Mett was a transfer who hadn't had the chance to learn our complex offense. Make sense now?

Complex offense? Notwithstanding, Met playing in 2011 would have meant a much improved Met in 2012 when LSU was still very much loaded on BOTH sides of the ball.

Wasn’t he ineligible until 2012 anyway as a transfer?

God I really wonder sometimes how some of yall can consider yourself fans of LSU or even the sport of football.

Complex offense. Turn left and hand off. Turn right and hand off. But learning how to pitch ball to RB while he is at half speed was the one he couldn’t get right. Loved Les, but do you ever think about all the talent he wasted here.

Because he wasn't any better, do you remember the phone booth and the melt down during the Florida game in 2012?
He finally clicked during the Alabama game.

I remember late in 2011 half of team JJ were claiming that JL was academically ineligible.

Since when can’t we bring up questions regarding previous seasons during the offseason?

Just for that, I’m going to dig up two questions regarding the 1998 season that have been burning inside me.

2011 Bama would have murdered the statue that was 2012 Mett.
The idea is to get rid of the ball before they murder you. So, no.

You don’t remember Mett running a naked bootleg for about 25 yards in the 2011 Ole Miss game?

Faked the cameraman out, too.

Because he wasn’t good. People forget he was pretty mediocre in 2012 then he turned a corner in 2013
