Do you really think they worry about a berm, chair back seats or more suites? I don’t.
Now they do want the best batting cages, weight room, training facilities, study halls, etc.

I agree with you 100% but that will never happen. Not with all this SJW crap going on

I think They care about playing in an awesome stadiums

Tell me an 18 year old senior doesn’t love seeing the beer showers at Ole Miss

That being said they also care about everything else. Vandy is cutting edge in their approach to everything. We need to get there

They want, in part, to play in front of a raucous and exciting crowd. Anything to facilitate that works. Bring in the crowd, then you bring in they money for the support facilities. There are exceptions but schools don't spend millions on stadium amenities just for the hell of it.

I don't see $40mm there, must have been a lot of skimming.

Because LSU allowed Skip Bertman to input his dumb opinions

lift more homeruns with the south wind

Is that why Mainieri always checked the weather forecast when deciding who was going to play second this year

My pet peeve with the box is there are 4 different colored seats. The purple down low, gold behind home, green along the baselines and metal in the outfield. WHY? MAKE THEM ALL PURPLE!

I would love to see renderings of what the box would look like with some of the improvements that have been talked about (a berm, new batters eye, purple chair back seating, etc.)

I understand all that so why did we tear down the old Box?
Why was the old Box packed? Why did we have the best teams?

That’s why Ole Miss is a regular visitor to Omaha?

The beer thing is an Ole Miss thing, You could have beer showers at LSU too, but we drink beer and don’t bathe in it.

There was a huge groundswell against building a new stadium. The LSU administration knew that there were millions to be made in adding suites.

The problem was that the old Alex box could not allow that to happen. So they thought it would be a good idea to build a stadium that was almost exactly like the old Alex box except with suites.

I was on campus at the time I remember this debate very vividly

That "Old Crew" has been supporting the program long before you were a twinkle in your mother's eye. I am willing to bet they have donated more money than you ever will to support the program as well.

Yep, trying to update the original, while also mimicking the modern stadiums at the time. They toured a lot of college, minor league and even new major league parks and took a lot of what was being done at the time. The open concourse over looking the field is what everyone started doing and they got that from Minute Maid

our stadium looks the best from the outside but like shite on the inside. no one cares what the outside looks though, nor should they.

my question is how does the players lounge and other facilities compare to the other SEC schools?
