This aint the issue, and there is a lot of LSU money that does not live in Louisiana.

You know there are a ton of LSU fans that don't live in the state, right?

Absolutely no way for you to know that for sure. At this point you're just screaming at the sky because you don't like Woodward.

see CLEARLY that NIL was gonna quickly turn into just buying athletes.

And our brass couldn't figure that out??

Different states had and have different laws concerning these types of things. LSU was set up rather well for what they could do at the time when NIL became effective.

If LSU can scheme up

LSU isn't paying anyone. No one understands how any of this works. You go to the Bayou traditions org and let them know your idea. That's where money comes from. A kid is not getting a check from the university. But again, a donation is you putting your money into the pot and that's all. Now you you rack up 5 figures of donation money, then my might get a koozie or some shite.

I like the idea, but sidelines are usually pretty flooded pregame with recruits and family of players. Being on the sideline before the game is awesome, don’t get me wrong, but it’s pretty crowded and can kinda feel like a mosh pit at times.
Now I have gotten to tour the football ops building and that was surreal. I was in heaven the whole time, it’s something I’ll never forget. I hope that all true tiger fans can get that experience at some point.

I agree. I think that if he had LSU's best competitive interests at heart, he would have stood behind Wade and he'd still be here.

Certain schools give zero flucks about "looking good", and they win more than we do. I think Scott refuses to rock the boat so he gets invited to all the fancy cocktail parties and keeps those healthy paychecks coming twice a month.

If people would stop buying boats they wouldn’t be so poor.

I taught at Clemson and was faculty sponsor for the Letterman's Club. The IPTAY model was started by "The Legend," Frank Howard. My career in higher ed led me into foundation work. It was amazing to see so many models base upon the simple concepts of IPTAY.

cool incentives for donations

Over a few years, I donated @ $30K to Mike's Habitat when George Rodrigue donated his Mike the Tiger Print.

For every $500 donated, a signed and numbered print was given to the donor.

After I got the prints, I would sell them on ebay and elsewhere for less than the $500 donation.

I would then roll the money back into more donations.

That is how I got a decent TAF priority point ranking.

George's prints retail for more than $500.

If they get gifts donated that are worth something they will get a return on funding for NIL.

I’ve been wondering why our mastermind governor didn’t include these as tax deductions in his tax reform proposal.

This is an interesting point. A gift of $25 is generally deductible for the giftor and not taxable to giftee.

This is a legit “print the shirts” situation

ETA And the giftee can elect to donate more.

Okay cool. Yeah it’s not coming directly from LSU, but Bayou Traditions is the “official collective of LSU athletics”. That means they are directly associated so BT could produce some officially licensed LSU merchandise

I just think things would flow better if you look at it like a fundraiser. We’re selling jambalaya plates, the meat has been donated, so every plate you buy is profit to the organization.
Same with whatever you want to apply.

Let’s say it costs 10k to make a ton of t shirts. Tell me one person in this world that wouldn’t spend $10k to make $1M or more. Just using simple numbers for simple math here.
