Would LSU welcome him back if his charges are dismissed? If so, I would think LSU is ok with him play at Southern to stay in shape and get game experience.... heck LSU may have even recommended him to Southern...

This is what I'm thinking also. I feel like LSU people helped him get over to Southern or at least were supportive of the idea.
Assuming he gets totally cleared legally, I'm sure LSU would welcome him back.
