Do I seriously have to answer that?

My reasons:

NFL Games, I'm a Cowboys fan, they play on Thanksgiving.
Visiting College Station will mean that I don't get to have a traditional Thanksgiving of playing catch, eating food and watching NFL all day.

And no, I don't automatically have Thanksgiving day off.

Alleva and miles should start pushing for it now. They have two years and can get it done. Maybe we should send them a petition.

Seriously, if we are forced to play thanksgiving, we should have a Saturday night in Death Valley. Those have become hard to find.

Well this is retarded. This series is a compromise for both teams. My understanding is A&M requested Thanksgiving Day, we requested Friday.

Nobody is getting screwed here.

I like what the earlier poster said. What are we getting out of it?

We are going to accommodate A&M. It's only reasonable that they accommodate us. Night home games are a real and viable tradition at LSU.

Did we even think to ask for it? Probably not. That's what really pisses a lot of us off.

Us on Friday is really no compromise.

I really don't see the big deal. Is thanksgiving that huge to some of y'all? I skipped the last 3 or 4 years to study for my finals in law school. I'd skip to go to a game I wanted to see.

You're getting super defensive here bro. I just don't see it as that big of a deal and its certainly not the SEC "trying to screw LSU"

EXACTLY....and why our athletic dept. does not come out and demand tit for tat, I'm just clueless ! Afraid we'll ruffle the SEC's feathers, just want to be "team players", don't care about what the LSU fans want/care about ??????

Possibly for the same reason we play the Friday after Thanksgiving every other year

Did you read that tweet? We have only played on thanksgiving twice...ever

Quit thinking about just your situation and understand why the vast majority of LSU fans dont want to play on fricking thanksgiving day.

I'm not defensive. You're just asking questions you already know the answer to.

I think it's cool to be the only big college game on a holiday. After teeing off all day on turkey with the fam we could sit around and drink and watch LSU

Besides, maybe it'll only be a thing that happens once on a while and not every single thanksgiving

frick playing on Thanksgiving

the attendance is already low when we play the day after

now you're expecting 100,000 people to miss thanksgiving with their family

Also, we are now competing with the NFL games instead of being the marquee game of the day

frick the SEC offices and frick the LSU admins that allow this shite to happen
