Why are so many of you so adamantly opposed to A&M on Thanksgiving?

Don't you all have off of work? What difference does it make if an away game is on thanksgiving?

Because the retards in our fan base have to bitch about something. It's in their blood. Neutral site games, scheules, away games - they're all horrible.

as long as the home games aren't on Thanksgiving it's not that big of a deal to me but mostly because it feels 2nd rate.

Same reason I would prefer not to have a bowl game on Xmas (hypothetically speaking).

Holiday I like to spend with family *shrug*

It is. It was put in place as a gimmick to get ratings and was made plausible as both fanbases were within a few hours of home.

Now it is to feed someone's inferiority complex towards big brother

List of reasons:
It's on Thanksgiving....
oh, you want more than the most important one?

Too bad.

The SEC office is going to try to find a way to screw us one way or the other.

could be an interesting tradition.

Tailgate and have turkey...watch NFL games while tailgating....then BOOM! LSU game at night.

I'm fine with it, if we were guaranteed that our home game would be a Saturday night in Death Valley.

We are accommodating am and the sec on this so we should be accommodated back with something we want. Am should agree that the lsu home game is a night game and not the 1:30 on Friday game like in the past. We gave them what they want now the favor needs to be returned.

Good God we have some embarrassingly stupid fans - or people that post here anyway.

Because LSU has only ever played on thanksgiving twice

A&M game for @LSUfball will be 1st on Thanksgiving since hosting Alabama in 1973. Before that, #LSU last played on Thanksgiving in '42.

That would be a solid compromise. But I'll be surprised if it happens.

Nap, I go to tons of away games. I'll probably go to this one. What's the issue?

I would prefer they were all on Saturday, but if the alternative is Friday afternoon I hope we move it to Thanksgiving night when we play them at home also.
