Nuss has a better arm, and I hope he has the knowledge of offense, to change a play at the LOS, depending on the defense.
That was the first thing I noticed about Joe B, that set him apart.

You have posters like drizztiger calling people klansmen who don’t think jd is heisman worthy. Least he can ride Deion's dick for another week.

Because it's usually a low IQ take, not always, but usually by overweight couch potato armchair quarterbacks who have never played a down before in their life.

"eVeRyThInG iS tHe QB's fAuLt!!"

Passing stats
J.Daniels 22/37,347 yds,1 INT

J.Travis 23/31, 342 yds, 1 INT

Only difference is TDs.

You can criticize whoever you want

But this isn’t worth discussing anymore. Nobody is being swayed from their position on Daniels. If you love him, his bad plays are ignored. If you hate him, his good plays are ignored. It is what it is.

I personally think he makes more good plays than bad and is our best chance right now. Doesn’t mean that won’t change or that he’s without faults.

There is enough criticism to go around. People here criticize with an agenda. This is hilarious because their critique has 0 effect on their agenda so why not just be honest about it?

My take.

The receivers dropped passes they should have caught, A few seemed to run lax routes or even bad routes at times.

JD did not place the ball very well in many instances and he still seemed to underthrow or release late on passes. The running game outside of JD was not at all effective with maybe one exception.

All of that was exacerbated by poor Oline play.

And play calling may have been questionable at times but it's not always easy to tell if the play call was bad or the execution just made it look that way.

There is my take.

I’m not sure why anyone would think you “aren’t allowed to” criticize the QB play. I see way more people on tRant criticizing Daniels right now than defending him.

Personally, I do think it’s exhausting how every win/loss comes down to a huge debate about QB play. Daniels had some good plays and bad plays last night. He didn’t put the team on his back, but he didn’t play an awful game either. There is a long list of things that seem more concern-worthy to me right now than QB play.

Specifically:
- Inability to cover FSU WRs
- Inability to open holes in the run game
- Inability to get pressure without blitzing
- Questionable decisions & play-calling at the goal line
.. all strike me as much bigger factors in the loss than Daniels’ play.

So I think generally people are being overly critical of Daniels considering the other issues. And I’m sure there are others who share my opinion. But it seems odd to act like you’re not allowed to criticize him when that’s like 50% of the conversation I’ve seen today.

A lot of the quarterback defense/criticism comes down to two camps.

Are the receivers just bad or is this a byproduct of Daniels running around all by himself and the receivers not really being involved?

Timing issues and ball placement can lead to drops and very little of the passing game looks "smooth" with JD5.

The receivers also appear visibly frustrated with JD5 at times, this happened last year and last night as well.

No one ever gets into a rhythm.

This goes the same way.

Is the offensive line really bad or do they look worse because they don't really know what's happening behind them and the ball isn't coming out on time.

This was also magnified by playing one of the best defensive lines in the country.

Technically, it could be a little of everything, and probably is.

Is anyone stopping you from criticizing the QB?

Or are you just crying because you were disagreed with?

ETA: this thread is on it's second page. . .so clearly nobody is stopping you. I think you just don't want anyone to disagree with you.

this proves you are football ignorant and have never played a down at any level

this argument was destroyed all last year

most his passes are short

it is why his YPa and intermediate % are not good. plenty yards in junk time also.

look at the sacks last year for a mobile guy? why? because he cannot read a d and holds ball too long. he was sacked 4 timkes last night

go see how many sacks he took in the seccg and then look at nuss.

I made this same point earlier. Nuss wouldn’t have as many sacks because he reads a defense quickly and gets rid of the ball. He doesn’t question himself and lets it fly. Daniels holds on to the ball because he lacks confidence in his throwing ability and would rather take the sack.

The inept running plays should tell you some of it, at least, is oLine play. Also, a few of JDs runs were the result of someone being in the backfield almost immediately.

They have blocking schemes, those were breaking down quickly last night.

Some of the Oline problems were definitely due to how good the FSU Dline is.

Both of those are 100% correct IMO.

Are racists.

He played great last night. WRs dropped balls. Oline was dominated.

Only the uneducated and Beta minded racists want to see Daniels benched

So someone from Huntington Beach thinks LSU fans are racists, big surprise. If it we’re Nuss out there getting criticized you wouldn’t hear peep from this tool.

Ok, lets see.... Everything Jayden does affects the team. He cant throw down field. The offense is attempting to disguise how bad his arm is and that doesnt work now a days because they will just crowd the line to stop him running. Which in turns stops the running game completely. Oline blocks differently when you have a pocket passer compared to a scrambling quarterback. And our Oline cant handle the protections they need to do so Jayden can be the ball hog. Offense is not on the field long so defense stays on the field longer. Which affects how they play because they are on the field forever. Look at the first half last night compared to the second half.

People need to stop making excuses for Jayden. He is not a quarterback that should be starting in the SEC. Teams figured him out near the end of last year. It is the same this year. We are screwed with him at quarterback.
