Who's Excited for the Cayman Island Classic?

I know Football is front of mind this weekend, but excited to see this Basketball team in an early season Tourney. Pretty solid competition, could be some key wins by March time. If we win out, who do you think we will beat? I'm thinking Ill St. - WKU - Kansas St.

Winning out of conference tournaments in back 2 back years would be pretty neat

Why'd my post with the bracket get downvoted?

I’d be really excited if I was there.

Looks winnable, excited to watch this team play away from home to get an assessment of MM coaching

Not exactly a murderers row but tournaments are always fun and it’s nice to win them. Experience playing outside of your home arena is good too. This team needs experience, wins, and confidence under their belts. Why I’m not too beat up over the weak out of conference schedule. Wins and confidence are more important than getting dump trucked.

We need some confidence wins and experience playing as a team before the conference gauntlet. Should be fun!

LSU - Tulane for the hardware

Good, this is a real double-elimination tournament and not just playing two games.

I don't know if "excited" is the right word. But it will be interesting to see how the team looks.
Yeah...not so much.
That is a pretty weak field. Kansas St is picked to finish last in the Big 12. Nevada is picked to finish 9th (of 11 teams) in the MWC. Rhode Island is picked to finish in the bottom 1/2 - 1/3 of the A-10. The best team LSU may play in the entire tournament will likely be their second round opponent (either WKU or Akron).
If there were a line for such, LSU would be the odds on favorite to win the tournament. So anything less than 2-1 would be really disappointing. Who knows what the season will bring, but I'm not expecting this to be an opportunity to pick up many, if any, "key" wins come March. However, it is an opportunity for the team to continue to grow and get better on a neutral site playing 3 games, against 3 different opponents, in 3 days.

It is on Flowhoops...which is a low tier sports streaming subscription site. They basically broadcast the crap no major networks/streaming services strongly desire to show. You can either join and create an account...or try to catch a bootleg stream on YouTube.
