Who would you like to see at DH this weekend?

I'm assuming Gio will be out. So, Bianco will stay in CF and Arnold will play 2nd.
Sanford, Drost, and Beloso have all looked sub par. Beloso looked clueless on Monday. Of those 3, I think I would stick with Beloso and hope that he draws some walks and gets on base. I tend to stick with the veteran players in big games.
What's y'alls thoughts on Wyeth getting a start at DH if we face a lefty? (Not even sure if UT will be starting a lefty)

DH has been a crapshoot so anything we get from that spot is lagniappe imo. If I had to pick of those three I'd go with Beloso I guess. He at least made solid contact a few times the other night so maybe he's coming around.

I dont think there is a great answer. Id be fine if it were beloso, drost, sanford, or putting safford at 2nd and dhing arnold. Id take whoever has the best week of practice and go with it.
With that said, if all else equal, id probably go drost because he at least has potential to run one out

At this point, the only thing Beloso brings to the table is weight loss & under-achievement.
Anyone but him, & by anyone I mean Sanford or Drost.

Thoughts on Wyeth against a lefty? I remember him squaring some balls up early in the season. Just looking for another RH option off the bench.

We arent going to start our backup catcher. And if he may still be hurt for all we know

I was only half kidding. I would have seriously considered pinch hitting him against the LHP for Oregon the other night. Milazzo hit 1 for 17 for the regional. Drost, Sanford, and Safford are all lefties who have looked bad against LHP.
At this point, it’s like, why not?

He looked frustrated. He hit one ball hard down the line and in another ab he was able to get enough of one to get the tying run in. As bad as he has been I think he is your best option for production.

Hellmers evidently hit well enough to start at 3rd base early in the season so has he forgot how to hit? He couldn’t do worse?

Sanford or Beloso. Both have seen Chad Dallas already, too.

What does this have to do with anything? They aren’t taking him out of the lineup.
