I know Milazzo isn’t coming out of the line up and I don’t want him to, but man 1 for 17 is just terrible.

The one was an extra base hit at least lol. To be honest I don’t really care what Milazzo hits. The way he controls the other team’s run game is enough for me. Maybe I just still have PTSD from 2018 and 2019 when teams just ran at will on LSU.

If I’m Mainieri I watch the three lefties very close to get an indication as to who looks thd best in practice that week. I pick the best, encourage him and let him know that he’s won the job and he will keep it the entire weekend.

All this provided the Vol starters are all right handed.
If it’s a lefty, I would have to consider Cranford at second and Arnold at DH.

Why not pinch hit for milazzo?and let the pitchers swing. When you go 1 for 17 , lsu has all to gain and nothing to lose, let the hellmers guy take a swing at it. What the worse he goes 0 for 3. We already use to that..if the dh is getting only about 1 or 2 hits a series then why not sure up defense at 2nd and let Arnold dh. Let beloso come in when we need someone to put the bat on the ball in later on in the game. You can always pinch hit later for whoever is playing 2nd , then let Arnold go in and they stay at dh. Or he can pinch hit for hellmers. Just my take

Beloso looked clueless on Monday.

let me correct you.
He looked clueless his first two at bats.
He hit a line drive extremely hard right at the first baseman his third at bat. and he hit in the game tying run in his next at bat. there was nothign clueless about those two at bats.
I without a doubt don't want anyone else in the DH this weekend but Beloso. He's got a much better attitude and swagger to him that is absolutely needed this time of year. He's done it before and can do it again. You go with experience here. I'd bet every other guy at DH would have struck out in that last at bat Beloso had b/c the nerves would have got to them.
Despite his lower than normal expectations this year at the plate, he's still got a .349 OBP, which is pretty much where he was his first two years.

Remind me, didn’t he get the game tying RBI in the 8th of the deciding game?

weight loss & under-achievement.

Anyone but him, & by anyone I mean Sanford or Drost.

Sanford and Drost have looked just as bad. And way more Ks than Beloso
