What do you mean by this? Are you saying the performance of our opponents defense is the reason for the offensive ranking?

They have losses to the No. 1 and No. 13 teams in the country. That’s way more than “anything over 6-6 or 7-5”.

It is and I've been giving Orgeron his credit every step of the way, but not because it's better than 6 or 7 wins. He gets credit for being a damn strong team. I hate this idea that just because they win more than what some assholes thought they would, then that makes it a great season.

Not many people are going to be excited not making the playoff and getting shutout by Bama.

Agree! Hell, we've got some idiots here that still point back to the early and late 90s. Those spans could not be more irrelevant. Emmert and Saban put the program at the top where it belonged.

The team is doing well and I believe we win on Saturday. But, pointing back to what people were saying before the season is silly, especially considering most said those "experts" didn't know shite. The success of the team is because they've done well vs a fairly tough schedule and beat some good teams, not because they surpassed some number of games outsiders came up with.

The expectations were lowered. This team realistically should have lost only one game this year and one last year. The only team more talented than us to beat us the last two seasons is Bama.

But, finish with 11 and you have a solid platform for the current team and to fill out the class with big expectations for next season.

That's another thing. Every year someone would say LSU is going 7-5. Did we say, Les beat expectations every season? No.

shite, 2011 people said 10-2, Les is good for two losses every year. He then goes 13-0 and was #1 going into the BCS title game. But everyone is pissed about that even though he surpassed the majority of expectations. And that was actually the hardest schedule LSU has ever played. People did not expect LSU to win the first game.

Before season start, 10 absolutely; 9 yes.

People are still bitching a decade later about "backing into" a national championship.

10-2 in regular season is very good for 2018. If we beat the Ags and end-up 10-2, that will be great. 11-2 with a bowl win would be even better. Top 5 finish. No LSU fan would complain about that outcome.

However...if we end up losing to the Ags and again in a bowl...9-4 will be a disappointment for most LSU fans.

, I’m assuming that your alleged point, you ignorant douche bag, is the Ricky Bobby theory: “You’re either first or you’re last!”

What fu*cking moron! You’re actually so stupid that you denegrate a team potentially going 10-2 that most experts put at 6-6 or 7-5. Only a complete dumbass would call 10-2 a “participation trophy” season.

Tag, you’re it Dumba$$!
This is how you melt while simultaneously showing you're an idiot.

LSU should win 10 games a year, to not do so is pathetic. Especially with four cupcakes a year on the schedule

Exactly. 10 wins allows lsu to lose to 3 teams.

Can we put this to bed? After LSU beat Miami and Auburn the expectations for this team changed. Just because some guys said 6 or 7 wins doesn't mean that LSU should be pleased with anything above tha

Especially since the low prediction was because of coaching, not talent.

I love participation trophies

2-10 gets a participation trophy.
10-2 (in the SEC West) gets respect.

We signed up for ten wins two years ago.
We haven’t achieved that floor yet.
Quit moving the goal posts based on lowest prognostications.
