Who will be next man up if we lose an OT

I know all our OL cross train so just because certain guys are running 2nd string in practice doesn't mean they will be the first guy in.
Would it be more likely that Frazier or Dellinger would slide out to tackle and Marinez come in at G?

Practice reports haven't really been glowing when it comes to Heard. Mostly say he's talented but not ready for prime time. Chester seems to be the most advanced of the freshmen.

Heard without a doubt. If anyone else starts at OT then it will be because of injuries to 2/3 between Campbell, Jones, and Heard.
Heard can play either position and steps in if either goes down.

Heard was talking a big game like he was gonna start from day 1

Borderlon & Heard are running with the 2’s so far during camp.

You might be the only one thinking this after the practice reports.

Top 7 right now...
Campbell
Delly
Turner
Lunsford
Jones
Frazier
Heard
Next in...
Martinez
Chester
Makane'ole
Bordelon
Enjoy this people! I'm not sure if we have ever seen depth like this. When Brian Kelly came in, we knew this was his strength and we sure in the hell are now seeing it!

What about the transfer from Maryland, Mason Lunsford? Not sure if he is a tackle or just an interior lineman, but he's got two years of starting experience if I'm not mistaken. Whomever it is, I haven't been this at ease with our OL depth in quite some time. I think we have 8-10 talented and capable guys that you could plug and play at multiple positions.

Which practice reports are down about Zalance Heard? Only things I've really seen is are simple statements saying that he's running LT with the 2s.

This kind of a post deserves a 6 month ban imo

LSU fans = catastrophe syndrome.
Apparently we just can't help ourselves.

It's been a long time... if ever...that our starting 5 makes it through the whole season intact.
Many times in the past, in an effort to get their "best 5" in the game after an injury, the staff has used a starting guard at OT.
Frazier and Dellinger both have game experience at OT. More D1 game experience than Heard or Bordelon. I'm just thinking the staff may follow the pattern they've shown in the past.
Maybe bring in Martinez and kick Frazier out to guard. Doesn't seem that farfetched to me.

I hear you man, but we're here on August 16th all excited about the upcoming season....and you appear to be worried about injuries. I'm just not sure why you're thinking about that stuff? I know it's a fan message board. Lot's of guys here post fun what if scenarios...and then there's the doom and gloom scenarios.
Let's enjoy the ride. Whatever happens, happens.
