I can remember listening to/watching a couple games with my father with Jamie Howard as QB but I don’t think I paid much attention. So I’d say my first real QB was Herb Tyler.

My earliest awareness of the QB position and who was LSU's as a young fan of the team?
The Ruston Rifle.
The first QB I remember watching live was none other than Steve MF Ensminger.
The first QB whose recruitment I watched as a somewhat more than casual fan?
Josh Booty.

Rohan Davey/Josh Booty. At a young age i used to imitate being the backup qb, coming into games, and leading a comeback because of Davey.
