Here is a free one from yesterday evening by Wilson Alexander that I assume includes much of the same information/sentiment.

That's click bait.
Let's see, the Athletic hasn't had live college sports to cover since March.
Let's put a bunch of innuendo in the first paragraph to entice more paid memberships.
I'm not falling for that.
Me guess The Athletic will have a lot of layoffs soon!
SI and Dellinger will have a free article if this amounts to anything.

basically, there is frustration with O from the players, but the team and O are trying to move in the right direction.

Regarding the march to the president's office - O walked into a team meeting and there was only 6 players in there. Jacoby Stevens and Andre Anthony organized a players only march, and no one told Orgeron.

A section of the locker room was upset when he went on Fox News and said “I love President Trump.” There’s an ever-growing national discussion on racial justice amid police violence, and there’s a perfect storm building, a challenge for Orgeron as a title-winning head coach. How will he handle it? It’s a test of the traits for which he’s most praised.
its extremely pathetic and sad we live in a world where that is considered a controversial statement or an opinion one needs to justify

there was a time when you could have your own political opinion and most didn't give a frick

These guys are coddled babies. The world is a cold, hard place. Deal with it.

But I’m glad O called Pete Carroll to learn how to kiss their asses. If anyone knows how to kiss the asses of coddled babies, it would be Carroll.

By the end, the players emerged feeling pleased with the response from their head coach. Stevens and senior defensive end Andre Anthony, the players who led the march, thanked Orgeron on their social media accounts, appreciating that he listened to their concerns

quote:

“Coach O demonstrated support and presented us with the utmost respect by listening to our points of view as Black athletes in an attempt to understand the challenges we face,” Anthony wrote on Twitter. “The first step is acknowledging that there is an issue and we need change. I commend him for his efforts.”

This is all that needs to be said.

Looks like O is going to be forced to play their game.

Forced or not, he's not gonna be the one to dictate terms here, that much is and was evident from the beginning.

We now live in a world where we are obeying 18-25 year old kids. Not just in a football locker room.

I need to become a protestor
Pay might be better and you don't have to work for a living
God forbid LSU is not giving you an opportunity to put yourself in a position to play professionally one day.
They can whine and complain all they want, finding 25 players will never be an issue.

The coddling is so cringe-worthy.

I don't fault Orgeron for playing the game, but it's obvious he doesn't want to and isn't comfortable doing it.

Going along with fake demands and made up struggles, and pretending they are real, is probably very disheartening.

I’m wondering who the 6 players were. We’re they left off of the text message.

I don't for the life of me understand why blacks think Trump=Racism.

That just hasn't been his track record. In fact...Trump has been very pro-black in his actions and policies.

Too many people just blue-pilled I guess.
