I mean the guy didn’t want to do the job anyway. Move him into football operations/analyst position and get someone else in there. Question is; who?

Agreed but I was told by a poster here that O will not be fired if he doesn’t win hardware next year. Guess we will see.

I think it’s really likely. The guy loves LSU. He’s older. He made a big check. He can just say O I tried.

A new Offense minded head coach. O got what he wanted 2 years in a row, and neither got it done. Get rid of the problem, who never should have been.

The next OC hire needs to be made with scoring points and moving the ball against Bama as the top priority.

So the exact opposite of what they have done the last 8 games. LSU needs to try something different. You are not going to line up in a pro style offense and run the ball against Alabama. It just isn’t going to happen. A RB has gained more than 100 yards like once every 11 games against a Nick Saban Bama team

Time for a Big 12 type offense. It obviously can’t be worse then what they are doing now. Oklahoma put up 45 against Alabama a couple of years ago so it can work.

Or just get Freeze and be done with it

People crushed me when I said I’m all in for Sterlin Gilbert last year.

I really think most LSU fans think of wide open offenses as pussy ball. They want what we do now to work.

frick all that. I want points.

One that won’t win either against Bama because we don’t have the 5’s and 4’s to compete....

Have you thought that maybe that’s why no coach wanted to come here....they saw the talent gap and said...are you crazy? It’ll take me 3 years to maybe get in the same ballpark as Saban....meanwhile I’ll be on the hot seat the whole time trying to win with freshmen and 3 stars all over the line...

Yep, Freezus is the answer.

He stretched the field on every play and ran hurry up so Saban couldn't get his packages in. He put huge numbers on Bama with Ole Miss' talent.

It doesn't matter who the OC is to a degree (I do not have a problem with Slinger) if LSU is getting beat on the OL by Bama in one on ones constantly it's not going to matter what we're calling. Need to get better players on the OL it's NOT the scheme.

They still had an overall roster talent rated below LSU.

Freeze makes a ton of sense. IDGAF about how ge got fired at ole miss. He isn’t being brought in to be the face of the program.

Briles would be a good hire.

Dooley would be unspectacular on paper but he’s doing a good job at mizzou

Enos (former arky oc now at bama) if we start having to dig deeper. Struck me as a pro style guy tho.

I know he had talent, but we had two all-time great SEC RBs in the last two losses at home and 3 WRs who were drafted (not including other skill position players that signed as undrafted free agents).

Well we’re not really upgrading our OL personnel either no matter how much that narrative has been beat down our throats. So maybe we should try and scheme a little better? We have talent sufficient to muster up more that 12 yards rushing and <200 total yards, I don’t care what you or anyone else says.

Not sure I understand why people think Ensminger and O are inextricable. Ensminger didn't want the job in the first place. I think he'd absolutely step back to a tight end role if O found the right hire. He may even just retire or become an analyst.
