Faneca was phenomenal and the best I ever saw. Even as an O-lineman, you noticed him. He would bulldoze people and then run way down the field and bulldoze other people.
Mawae was excellent and versatile too. He just had the misfortune of ending his LSU career playing for Curley Hallman.

The best interior lineman and it’s not even close. Dude was a road grader and one mean mofo on the field.

You ever heard of Alan Faneca? If not, quit asking dumb arse questions and read and listen. #Later

Seriously pure talent plus actual performance is Faneca hands down.
Next tier is Whitworth.
After that many others albergammo, Collins, andolsek, turner, Wilkerson, black

Faneca/Whitworth the gold standard
I think we may look back at current (NFL) guys like Cush, Lewis and Trai and be surprised how well they panned out. Trai being the biggest surprise since he left the earliest.
La'el would be there but he seems like a bonehead right now + injuries are really holding him back.
Eta: college career only, I think Ciron Black was a beast for LSU.

Andolsek.. RIP
Yep! I would also add Norwood (RIP) to that list as well.

Mawae isn't getting enough air time in this thread. He may be behind Faneca but not by much.
Also, props to a couple of other OL who had their football careers cut short by injury:
Will Arnold
Chris Faulk

What about Ralph Norwood? Lance Smith?
I really like these guys but they are not at the same level as the others.
