Brodhead. He made winners out of almost every LSU team. And if that doesn’t put him at number one this will: When the NCAA came down to investigate cheating, Brodhead bugged the offices they were using.

Cool. That has nothing to do with the question at hand.

Skip hired a national championship winning football and baseball coach. This would seem like a bigger achievement if they weren’t succeeding legendary coaches (albeit Mainieri indirectly).

Les was a mistake with Jimbo in the building and what Saban left was built to win multiple championships not the luckiest 2 loss title ever.

Hiring Smoke was a mistake, Skip could have hired anyone already elite at that time.

Skip was too cheap and ran off Pat Henry. LSU would be sitting with over 75 nattys today had he not blundered there.

Skip is the best college baseball coach ever, but a very mediocre AD.

Say what you want about Les but he gave maybe the best 10 year run in program history so it’s hard to call that a mistake. Like a lot of coaches, the game passed him by.

Jimbo would have been a massive mistake.

I think Woodward is doing a pretty good job as AD

He’s done some really good things and some of the worst things as well.

The good;

Mulkey

JJ turning out way better than anyone expected.

Jay in gym

The bad:

Coach BK wayyyyyy overpaid after not an organized search and way too much spent on buyout money for bad contracts.

His actions toward the players on the Will Wade roster before the NCAA tournament, treasonous.

Men’s Basketball hire, awful

George Floyd LEDs at Tiger Stadium, unforgivable

Cowering to BLM and blasting the logos at every venue, a fireable offense.

The most frustrating thing is when an AD isn’t taking swings. Scott knocked it out of the park with Jay and Kim. He poached blue bloods coach when they still had an opportunity to make the playoffs.

We’ll see if Kelly works out but Scott is at least going for it

I have a visceral dislike of him. Dates back to Duke Lacrosse, shocking he was ever hired by LSU.

Joe Dean has more titles than all of the others combined

Are we measuring by titles?

Broadhead

Dean

Jim Corbett started the original golden age of football by hiring Paul Dietzel. And football was all we cared about back then.

I don’t know whether it was Corbett or Maddox who hired Press Maravich but that was a stroke of genius.
