He was a good receiver sure, but you have him over a ton of guys who were way better than him. He’s not even a top 10 of all time but you have him as top 3.

Single Season?
Jamar Chase
Josh Reed
Justin Jefferson
Career?
Josh Reed
Malik Nabers
Michael Clayton - (Hard to argue with 3 straight 700+ yd seasons and a catch in every game in his career)
Other nominees for Career:
Chase
Jefferson
Bowe
Lafell
OBJ
Jarvis Landry
Devery Henderson

That dude
The thing about Reed was everyone in the stadium including the little old lady sitting in front of you knew the ball was going to Reed. Many times while watching the ball get released I would look down field to see Reed have separation. No one ever took him out of the offense.

Sheddrick Wilson could catch a greased bb in the dark
His clutch catch in the '95 South Carolina game was a thing of beauty. I wonder what he's doing these days?
Here's an article from 2019 about him:

So Jarvis wasn't the best, but he was really, really good. Does anyone have a catch (at LSU) better than this one? It's also debatable if this is his best catch, the touchdown diving against Arkansas is also up with this one.
Here's the other I referenced. Unreal athleticism but not contested.

JJ and Chase were just unstoppable. Hamilton back years ago and Wendel Davis were good also. So many great WR's at LSU over the years.

No particular order
Jefferson
Chase
Reed
Davis
Depending on how you define success I think the answer has to be somewhere in there
2 of the above won the Biletnikof, one was a 2x 1st team all American, and the other is on pace to be a top 5 WR of all time in the NFL
Jefferson
Chase

Davis

Alabama defense is still trying to catch Josh Reed.

I've been following LSU football since the days of Tommy Hodson and Wendell Davis. Jarvis Landry is the best receiver of the football that I've ever seen in Tiger Stadium.

If going off of talent, it’s Chase.

Wendell Davis, would be my choice
If you needed a reception, Eric Martin, Wendell Davis, and Jarvis Landry would be my guys. I would include every intangible when selecting “All Time”. Because of that, I would have to go Justin Jefferson. His strength off the line, route running, exceptional hands, and body control really set him apart.
Davis was a lot like Jefferson but more physical IMO. Equal hands, good speed, great route running but I’m not sure his route running and speed were as good as Jefferson’s. Davis didn’t fear linebackers. Neither did Jefferson as you could see in the National Championship game getting speared and still hanging on to the ball. Tough dude.

Larry Foster could outrun the entire SEC.

PS: Andy Hamilton, Carlos Carson
