The bands interaction would be very confusing though.

Probably our best chance to hear Neck.

Would the same not be true of OSU-Clemson instead of OSU-Utah?

I'm coming from the position of an LSU viewer, and one who happens to live in South Carolina as well.

How do you think this is possible?

So you're honestly telling me you would be more hyped to watch LSU-Utah than LSU-Clemson?

I'm an LSU fan, we would be in a first round playoff game, my "hype" will be at 11 regardless of the opponent. OU or Utah is not like playing Northwestern State or even Arkansas as 44 point favorites they would be top 4 teams

If you wanna be a sissy then day dream about beating up weak sauce Utah. I would prefer to play Oklahoma because Hurts can’t pass the ball consistently to save his life. You take away the qb run from Jalen and he’s toast. He’ll either get sacked or start throwing interceptions.

they beat us in the SECCG but both of us get in the playoff, probably as the 3 and 4 seed and meet in the final

Switch this to basketball and see how this sounds.....

Let’s say in the near future LSU is in position to be a number 1 seed.

Would you rather be a number 1 seed and play 16 seed North Dakota St or be an 7 seed and play 10 seed Florida ?

This is just dumb!!! If you asked the players if they'd rather have a regionally local game and an easier path to the championship they'd be STUPID to say, "NO WAY, We want to play a really tough team 1000 miles away from home so neither of us have a home field advantage!!! Who cares that we've already played what will be the toughest schedule of all 4 playoff teams, and have earned the right to have the advantages of a #1 seed?!!? We want PsychTiger to enjoy his TV viewing experience in the semi-final matchup!"

IT'S LOGIC and RESPECT, NOT FEAR!!! You're hearing what Clemson and ESPN are saying and projecting it. Only thing to fear is if LSU somehow doesn't play well against a good opponent, and can't overcome a few uncharacteristic, self-inflicted mistakes... That scenario would be a Clemson matchup in the semi-finals. Basically, the whole Clemson team are veterans of the playoffs so the stage will be more comfortable to them, and they will be able to take a bigger advantage of LSU mistakes. LSU would need to bring their "A" game the whole game against Clemson, but could more than likely overcome mistakes against an OU or Utah. LSU's team has improved defensively and has brought the "A" game offensively in every game (maybe A- against Auburn), but LSU is the best team and will be favored in every game moving forward no matter who the opponent.

why do people say stupid shite like this? As if we are playing

I'd rather play Utah because its different, someone we haven't seen before. I'd also rather OU not get in the playoffs because they back in more than anyone including Bama, but at least when Bama gets a second chance they take advantage of it, OU usually just loses but in the end i don't care

I personally would love to play Clemson then Ohio St, then NOONE would have any room to dispute anything about OUR LSU TIGERS! We’ve been doubted all year long even though we were the only team that beat 4 top 10 teams, 5 after saturday, so I think we should finish the season by beating the best and leaving no doubt that we WAS and ARE the best team in College Football. I really believe in my heart that LSU can beat anyone that is on the opposite side of the field. Our team is just that good and yes the defense as well!! GEAUX TIGERS!

That's just false. I never watch ESPN unless we are playing on the network at that moment.

I'd rather play Ohio State than play Georgia twice.

I am fundamentally against having to beat the same team twice in a row - when both teams are somewhat equal in strength.

It is far easier for a good team to rectify what is getting them beat, than it is for the leading team to scheme against what the other team may be doing to correct their faults.

I'll stick with my playoff 'rule' - no playoff team should be forced to play a team they have just beaten until the losing team has beat someone else in the playoff.

Don't care who it is.
