Ill be satisfied with a win, but kicking their arse will feel much better.

Saban beat LSU on the biggest stage. Even winning the NC this year won't take that away from Alabama.

But I'm sure you'll cherry pick whichever "ranking" make them look the worst

Just like you did? Were those rankings before or after the post season? Let me give you a hint: don't use rankings AFTER the post season. Of course Bama's SOS went up AFTER the SEC teams blasted the other conferences. One quick example: several SEC teams, such as UF, were 6-6 and won their bowl game. That helped Bama's SOS AFTER the bowls. Prior to the bowls, UF was a .500 team (hence the point I made about Bama only beating a few teams with WINNING RECORDS in the regular season).

As for the 2011 REGULAR season, I've been involved in many threads where Bama's 2011 resume was discussed. Yes, it was the weakest in BCSNCG history. Brad Edwards even admitted to this on twitter last year (you know the ESPN BCS guy that is a Bama grad) and his "tweet" was on this board as well.

Go look up the other threads. I'm not linking them for you.

I believe Bama's schedule was 38, LSU was 2 and OKST was 20 or 21 pre BCS standings after championship weekend. OKST had a stronger strength of schedule pre bowl games

I didn't cherry pick anything. I gave a handful of examples that showed a wide range of rankings.

Post season rankings do matter bc it's not until the end of bowl season that we can truly see how the teams Bama or LSU played against, stacked up in the grand scheme of things.

Now if you want to argue that Bama's SOS went up after they played LSU the 2nd time, then I'll buy that.

So I checked Bama's SOS after week 12 and they were 24th. That same week LSU SOS was 16. This was Colley's Matrix rankings - I didn't have time nor could I figure how to look at individual weeks for the others. There is probably a way, and if you can find it and it disputes the proof I've provided, then by all means, show me.

That being said, SOS rankings for both teams, both pre, and post-season, were a far cry from the SOS of Oregon's 50+ SOS the year before - and Oregons SOS of 50+ was post season, which factors in playing an undefeated Auburn team.

Which means, deep breath, Bama's "resume," or SOS, was way better than the previous years contender for the BCSNCG.

As far as OKS goes, their sos was better than Bama's but they lost a game to an unranked team 2 weeks after Bama's overtime loss to the #1 team, and there simply weren't enough games left in the season to leapfrog Bama.

So, again, remove the tinfoil hat. There is no conspiracy.

Y'all need to go watch Karate Kid and see what happens to those folks that try to put a beatdown on someone.

Just take the win, and forgot about sweeping the leg.

We won in OT last year so the game was determined to have never happened. I'd like to try a skullfricking to see if that works.

I want to be able to get in on every single article related to Bama football, and I don't care if it is reader's digest, and blow up the comment section after we beat the shite out of them and flame away. If there is an article on the web talking about Bama injuries or Bama anything I will ruin the whole comment section with geaux tigers! Bama sucks! Order restored! I will do this all season and offseason.

Ok. Say the only game we lose is to them in overtime. You think the media will lobby for us in another rematch game? I promise this wont happen. Even if it makes sense computer wise. We need to ruin their season in Tiger Stadium with a demoralizing win. It will be called cold dish game.

I hope they can no longer exist as a football team for the rest of the season.

It's evolved far beyond that now. According to Bama's Media Guide, they actually won that game:

I'll take another 9-6 field goal fest, as long as it results in a Tiger victory. Some folks are acting like just because we owe Bama a curb stompin, that its a sure thing on Nov. 3 in Death Valley. They have a very good football team and its gona take all we got to get a W..

I will take any type of win, but I would love to see Saban flipping out on the side lines like Petrino did last year when we "ran up the score" against Arky.
