I want to see LSU pick bama apart with a competent passing game and skull Frick them to death with a power running game. No more read option shite!

Saying that, a one point win is still a win. Lsu will most likely have to go undefeated to play in Miami. We must win, pretty or ugly, just win.

Not in the eyes of those who run CFB it isn't. Teams like Bama, USC, ND, "win" close games they lose. 2011 should have taught you this the hard way.

Depends on:

1) What happens with the other traditional programs first, then...
2) LSU HAS to win the SEC if it loses a game. Has to.

Agreed, but I want to avoid the rematch again. As good as LSU may be in 2012, I still don't think they are good enough to beat Bama twice.

I would love to see us win in a very decisive manner. I will take any win but I do not want them to be able to cry themselves into position again this year. Bama did deserve to win on 1/9 but they did not earn the right to play on 1/9 and if the roles were reversed I would say the same thing about LSU. If LSU would have been 3rd in the SEC LSU would have been playing in the Sugar Bowl or Cap One. I do not want any doubt after this game is over as to who is best. ( which there was not in my opinion after 11/5 LSU won 9-6 in Tuscalooserville, so they were better)

I tell you I hope we beat the ever living crap out of them! I am sick of this Saban love affair crap. Our guys need to be out for blood in this one. Will it matter to the media? I don't know or care, but if we embarrass them, I will be at peace.

Me too, but I'd be satisfied with a win. I also want blood though.

I would love to see Mett give Saban the mercy
knee on the 2 yard line ala ole miss. Realistically,
I think we pound the ball with our rb's. 31-13 LSU

tin foil hat, eh?

If OKS hadn't of lost after Bama to an unranked cupcake, then OKS would have been in the title game.

There's no conspiracy here. The teams ahead of Bama lost, which allowed Bama to move up - and those teams couldn't leapfrog back over Bama bc the rest of their schedule wasn't difficult enough to do it.

LULZ.

2011 Bama = Weakest Resume in the history of the BCSNCG.

Fact.

Try again.

Whenever bama loses a game, they always cry & complain that they did not get beat, they lost the game themselves. So, in this context, knowing they will cry & whine anyway, I'd just as soon as beat them on the last play of the game on a blown call & get our money's worth. But to be fair to their fans, this is Little Nickie's personal philosophy, as he's never been "beaten" by another team. And he being himself, he was known to throw players under the bus here at LSU with some of the stupid games he lost, specifically the 3 last play of the game game winning TD's his secondary gave up.

Fact?

Oh really?

In the history of the BCSNCG?

According to the NCAA Bama is listed as number 3 in strength of schedule for 2011.

According to Massey they were #2 SOS and LSU #1 SOS.

Sagarin has them listed at #15 for SOS and LSU as #7 for SOS.

But I'm sure you'll cherry pick whichever "ranking" make them look the worst - and I'm pretty sure none of those rankings puts them at weakest resume in the history of the bcsncg. LULZ

edit: Oregon was ranked 52 SOS when they faced Auburn in 2010. Your "facts" need updating, my friend.

If i had my druthers, I'm down with the blowout. However, the 2 0 final will work

A win would be acceptable. Winning by double digits would be great. A rout may not help us in the polls as it would make Bama look weak.

It's going to be a close game, as it almost always is. I'll be very surprised if it's a blowout either direction.

Bama has a great Oline this year. LSU has a great Dline this year.

Bama shouldn't have any problem plug and playing the guys next in-line on D, as most all of them are 4 stars or better and got playing time last year. Bama also won't have the same kicking problems. LSU is pretty much the same group of beasts, minus a few, and add a new QB.

It's going to be a good game.

More I think about your post, it would have to be some wild scenario's to have a blow out win over bama to hurt our chances. I'd glady roll those dice

Agreed.

But what did that have to do with their weak schedule? Before the post season, they had only beaten five teams with winning records.

Actually, I'm tired of talking about Bama 2011. I've poured through the numbers here many times and I don't feel like doing it again.

Back to the original point: we need to beat them by at least 17 points for the game to count. End of story. If we don't, there will be talk of a rematch, again. I don't think we can beat them twice this year either.
