Who else was at the Baton Rouge regional where UNCW eliminated Tulane?

UNCW probably gets about 500 people at their games but our whole stadium was chanting " Let's go Seahawks, Let's go Seahawks". It was hilarious. Rick Jones is still pissed about that to this day. Those were the good old days.

That was back during our baseball glory days! Kaplan was playing for Tulane then and we hated his guts. The Tulane fans were livid when LSU fans came back that night to cheer for UNCW! Fun times! Miss those days!

But I think about that every time I see UNCW pop up in the tourney.

Yes, UNCW is the team I first remember getting a lap from appreciative LSU fans. They were scrappers and really played well in our regional - loved our fans and the atmosphere. I also root for them

That was 2003, back when there were 3 games on Saturday in regionals. UNCW won first elimination game in the morning. LSU beat Tulane like a dog in the winner's bracket game. Then Tulane had to turn around immediately and play UNCW.

There was a little more animosity b/w LSU and Tulane baseball back then because Tulane bounced us from the Supers in 2001.

With the LSU Tulane game winding down, UNCW walked into the park in prep for their night losers bracket game against Tulane and the whole place chanted "Let's Go Seahwaks!" Green Wave fans were all pissy about it. Fun times.

As a college student, I enjoyed going to those losers bracket games and scooping up a bunch of granstand tickets people would sell after their team was eliminated.
