Durham is indeed an exciting prospect and was a key factor in the Tigers victory Saturday.
I have not followed the University of Texas that closely, but I doubt his highly touted Duncanville teammate the linebacker who signed with Texas is not making nearly the impact Durham is.

Same build and speed of Deangelo Williams when he was at Memphis where he was a compact running speed back. He got bigger and more between the tackles in the pros but at Memphis he ran the stretch play, made a cut to the sidelines then outran everyone.
Watch what Durham did on most of his runs, got through the hole, turned to sidelines and outran the LB safety to get there. He just wasnt able to pop it all the way but it will come. Williams did it against weaker competition so once he hit the corner he just accelerated past everyone even if they had the angle.

LSU's Caden Durham, Alabama's Ryan Williams lead college football's top true freshmen of Week 3

True freshman running back Caden Durham entered Saturday with just four career carries to his name, but he exits the weekend as perhaps LSU's new feature back following a breakout performance in the Tigers' 36-33 come-from-behind win at South Carolina. The Duncanville (Texas) product finished the day with 98 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries, and his 26-yard touchdown run in the second quarter breathed some life into an otherwise listless LSU team and helped to keep the game from getting out of hand. Durham — the sixth-ranked running back and No. 124 overall prospect in the class of 2024 — generated seven missed tackles forced and 50 yards after contact on the day, according to PFF, and is the 247Sports True Freshman of the Week. "He broke a ton of tackles," said LSU coach Brian Kelly. "That's the nature of the SEC, to make guys miss and run through tackles. He did a really good job of showing himself today, and setting a standard of what we need at that running back position."

he is nothing like shyrone. shyrone was actually NOT FAST but he was the equivalent of a ping pong ball in a bathtub with his jukes.

This correct. In the highlight reel I saw Dalton caught from behind many times, but his change of direction, often in the hole, was uncanny.
Nobody will catch Durham from behind.
Nobody will catch Durham from behind.

More like Dalton Hilliard but not as big thighs.
Yes, that was my first choice.

Ray Durham, and Kendall Hunter (but better track speed).

I'm sorry if someone else mentioned this already......
But I watched where he received the game ball from BK on Saturday.
He looked almost uncomfortable with that attention. The mannerism reminded me very much of Barry Sanders.
Then I come to the Rant and see this question.
