CLM never let him pull up and throw the ball one time. The NFL proved how horribly he was used here.

How many passes did he throw in the NFL?

Cecil "The Diesel" Collins. Hell of a RB.

In no possible way was he a bust.

The real answers are Clifton Garrett, Travonte Valentine, Malachi (could have been a star in the NFL, but was too soft), Chris Davenport, Arik Gilbert, and Anthony Johnson.

I totally forgot about Garret and Valentine, but they were massive busts! My second and third players were The Freak and Kardell Thomas, who both came in as can't miss players but were both invisible once they arrived on campus.

Malachi at least contributed a little, but was nowhere near a 5-star. I didn't put Arik because he was a mental head case and he had a great freshman season. He probably should be in a mental institution because he's missing a few marbles.

Freshman All-American and 2nd round pick by the way…. Maybe you just don’t know ball

The reality is Smith was drafted in the second round because of potential, not what he produced on the field. He may have been a freshman all-american, but that proves my point. How do you go from freshman all-american to the worst DL in the SEC? When you're the biggest guy on the field and the opponent's weakest OL absolutely manhandles you, I consider you a bust. Smith was so bad that he would make Danny DeVito look like a HOF OL!

Ratphuc Hobley

His brother/father Liffort Hobley was damn good considering he was 46 years old while playing for LSU.

Jonathan Giles.

Transferred in from Texas Tech and was given #7 because of how electric he was. 6 games in he asked Coach O to go back to his old number. His stats were 10 catches for 59 yds.

Maason was on the Freshman All-SEC and Freshman All-American teams even after a leg injury his freshman year. Then he misses his last season after tearing his ACL in the first game. I would say he underperformed the massive expectations people had, but he wasn't a full on bust.

Don’t know how that guy stayed on the field with how bad his fundamental technique was. Totally sloppy player

ILB Garrett from Ohio like a top 5 player in nation. DT Johnson like the number 1 player in the nation, Ruben Randle and tolliver I thought was gunna rock the world, was probably a Les miles problem though.

Josh booty. Those 90's years were tough as a fan. The younger generation that wants a coach fired for not winning ten games didn't have to live through those tough years .
