True, Aranda followed his dream to be a HC. But the perfect example of the “Peter Principal” where people rise to their level of respective incompetence. He was a great DC, but he is a not so great HC.
Special emphasis on the word “Acts”
Kiffen is an immature impulsive jerk. Lucky his actions didn’t cost his team a win yesterday. Going for it 4th and 1 on the OM 25 in the 3rd quarter is not a ballsy move. Just plain stupid.

Echols couldn’t have been that bad. He gave up no sacks going up against a very good pass rushing team. In fact. USCe got no sacks last night. Our biggest problem is run blocking. And when we run it is predictably to the left side. Why, because Westin Davis is terrible. When was the last time we had a +rushing play to the right side of the line?
Like he needs to go on a diet. He moved his feet to slow to play tackle.

John “ Bluto” Blutarsky was at Faber College for 7 years.
I seriously do not understand why people mention OU as a permanent opponent. When we play (and best them) this year the combined history of play will be a grand total of 4 games with LSU winning all 4. Hardly a rivalry.
+OKC is not hot spot for recruiting where you want to get your foot in the door.

You are thinking in terms of 4 distinct quads. The announcement didn’t state that. Each of LSU’s permanent rivals will likely be different from ours.

Who we used to play rivalry week each year would have been Tulane.
But that ended. Time to give the”The Boot” the boot as well.

I think they brought in Susan Sarandon to help him turn the corner. He's now breathing through his eyelids and she had him start wearing a garter belt under his uniform… all in the interest of distracting his mind from the tension-inducing thoughts that swirl through his head on the mound.

re: My Eyes Are Telling Me Something About Players
Posted by 75EE on 11/10/24 at 2:32 pm to Demonbengal
The defensive woes all go back to hiring House. The players hated him. Recruits coming in during those years picked up on that and went elsewhere. We knew back in the spring that we were lacking depth (and quality) at DL & in the secondary. The staff did a good job of patchwork that held up until the a&m game. A good OL can easily handle our DL. A little misdirection to get the LBs out of the way allows a running QB to easily break thru. It all starts with front line.

re: For those of you who lived in the stadium dorms back in the day...
Posted by 75EE on 10/3/24 at 9:42 pm to ChiefCornerstone
I lived on the 2nd floor of south stadium fall of 73 & spring of 74. My room was right above the visiting ream locker room. Hall bath & no AC , but the room was far better than my 1st (2) years dorms (Johnson & Hodges). Unlike N. Stadium (nicknamed the ghetto for its run down condition) all had phones in the room. the only downside was on game days when there was a lot of noise and activity = no sleeping in.
