I doubt you'll see CPM automatically go to a closer any more. If today's game played out again in the CWS CPM would probably leave Cotton in. He might even use Gausman to close on two or three days rest in the CWS.

It's easy for batters to study him and know he pitches fastballs in the strikezone 92% of the time.

I just think at this point you can't just throw someone else in there. Hopefully we can get him in a Nichols St. type game/lead & he'll find it.

I'm torn on this, but I think in the end that is 4 straight games he's just outright not played well. There needs to be a change of some sort.

I'm not saying I'm panicking yet.... but I'm close. We aren't hitting well and our closer looks done.

The 0-2 fastball to the little guy was horrible. You have 3 chances to try and get him to swing at a ball. Elevate the fastball then come back with the slider at the back leg.

Just move him to the setup man and use cotton as the closer.
Otherwise you are going to have to use Goody as a closer in tournament baseball.

We should have had someone else warming up, PM needs to utilize the bullpen more. Thats why I do when I play MLB The Show and it works.

Truth. Josh is never wrong and he's forgot more about baseball than the rants collective knowledge of the sport. The fact is Goody has given up a run the last 4 outings. Multiple runs 3/4. His ERA has risen by about 2 in two weeks. Once is an anomaly, twice is unlucky, three is a trend, and 4 well thats just a fricking problem. At this point in the season its ridiculous.
